Nang maramdaman ni Serena na mahimbing nang nakatulog si Adil ay dahan-dahan siyang bumangon.She need to keep herself on right track di siya mag papaepekto sa lalaking ito.

She felt tired sa dami nang nangyari ngayong araw ay gusto niyamatulog nalang.Naglakad siya palabas ng pinto.

Then she saw one of her maid standing there waiting for her.

"You what's your name?she ask her

The girl bend her knee and bow her head

"I'm Mira my queen"she answered

"I wanna go back to my room"Serena said to her

Nakita niyang tumango ito pero bago sila umalis ay may kinuha si Mira sa loob.She remembered it was the silk that Adil gave her to cover her body.

Pagkatapos ay naglakad na sila nang makapasok siya sa kanyang silid ay kaagad siyang nahiga.

"Queen would you want to change your clothes first?Mira ask her.May tatlo pa itong kasamang maid pero pinalabas na niya.Tanging si Mira lang ang natira.

"Mira can I ask a favor from you?she said in tiring voice

Natahimik naman ito

"Would it be alright if you call me by my name?Dont call me queen and don't act like a slave if your infront of me "she said softly

Biglang nanlaki ang mga mata nito

But my queen!The king wil--

"Please I hate it when you all call me queen, dont be afraid Mira I will protect you if Adil wants to harm you "she said to her.

Mira is looking at her then she nod

"I will do it my queen but only if we are alone would that be alright?she ask her

Tumango siya dito

Mira have this dark brown eyes and black hair she have a fair skin.Naka braid ang kulot nitong buhok,napansin niya kanina na lahat nang maid ay may tatak sa kilid ng mga braso nito, she looks older than her.

"And I will be happy to follow you Serena"Mira said to her

Napangiti siya sa sinabi nito,somehow she reminds her of X because she have this gentle personality na kahit anong sabihin mo ay di ito magagalit.

Nakita niyang lumapit ito sa kanyang kama at inayos nito ang kanyang kumot.

"Sleep now Serena"she said in a warm voice

Then she saw her sit on the floor on her knee.Bigla siyang nagtaka,

"Why are you sitting on the floor Mira?tanong niya dito.

"Since a child we are thought on how to serve the royal family.We are the slave of this palace Serena.Actually I was quite happy when King choose me to be your handmaiden it was my honor to serve you.

"Mira, why are you good communicating in english and I saw other's are not?

"Because some maid are from the old monarch when King Adil arise in this empire he abolish the old custom and change it to more modern one.That is why we women are now allowed to study even if we are just a maid.We are given rights also to speak and be protected by the law all because of King Adil.

"You speak highly of him Mira"sabi ni Serena dito

"Yes,Because he change this country for good even if he is a tyrant he understand what his people needs and want"

Biglang my pumasok sa kanyang Isip

"Who is Princess Luara?she ask her

Mira smiled at her
