Aria stared at the black screen of her phone. Maybe she imagined the text? She set down her juice box and hit the home bottom. Those four words still remained, only it was five minutes old now. Who could possibly have her phone number, she got a new phone once she arrived in Washington. The only person with a  Houston area code in her phone was Chris, and he always called her around seven when he got out of work so he could tell her good night. He wasn't a big fan of texting.

Felix walked into the kitchen to find Aria standing at the island, her eyes fixated on her technological device. She had a death grip on the blood bag she had from him her knuckles were whiter than anything he had ever seen. He was sure if she squeezed it any harder it would've popped.

The vampire rested his hand on her shoulder causing the teen to jump. Aria rested one of her hands over her racing heart, "Don't do that."

Felix chuckled, "My apologies, I thought you were harvesting fresh blood based on how long you took."

Aria mumbled a sorry and handed him a bag. "Waitin' wouldn't have killed ya," she teased.

"It might have," he joked as he took a sip of his drink walking back to the living room.

Demetri and Alec were discussing something in hushed tones. Aro, Jane, and Caius were channel surfing. Felix gracefully plopped down onto the couch and patted the spot next to him that Aria graciously accepted.

"So," the guard started, "how exactly are you related to Jasper?"

Aria looked down at her juice box. "He had a younger brother, Nathaniel James Whitlock," she started, as she twirled the straw in a circle, "when Jasper enlisted he would send home part of his check so Nathaniel could take care of their dying mother, when she passed he went to school became a lawyer. He got married to a woman named Mary Anne. They had three kids, William, Jasmine, and Gabriel Whitlock. William Whitlock grew up and became a doctor, he's my great grandfather. That makes Jasper my great great great uncle, I think."

Aria's eyebrows knitted together as she thought about her family tree, "Yeah that's what I would call him, but I just call him Uncle Jazz, it's less of a mouthful to say."

Felix smiled, "What happened to your father?"

Felix immediately regretted his question. Aria's bright brown eyes dulled, filled with a poignancy that made him want to hug her sadness away, her smile faded making her youthful face look older and weary.

"He was murdered," Aria replied softly, looking away as tears began to cloud her vision. A loud explosion from the movie Jane was trying to change covered the mortals words, Felix had barely caught them.

Felix gently wrapped his arms around her willowy frame whispering an apology into her ear. He didn't mean to upset his new friend. She was still grieving, how she managed to smile and be warm and loving to everyone baffled the vampire. She was tough he'd give her credit for that.

"Is everything alright?" her mate questioned, noticing Felix hugging his girlfriend.

Aria wiped her eyes, channeling Demetri's good mood into her reflecting it back. She didn't want them to worry about her.

"Jus' peachy," she said as she pulled away from Felix's embrace focusing her attention on Alec, "Just huggin' a vampire."

"My love," Alec spoke, "may we speak privately?"

"Of course."

Alec guided her into a different part of the house. She had never been in Carlisle and Esme's bedroom before and if she was being honest it was nothing she expected. A king size bed leaned against the wall, ivory and creme colored bedding covered the mattress. A dark cherrywood vanity filled with different makeup supplies and a bottle of perfume resided by the window for the best lighting possible, cherrywood bedside tables were placed on either side of the bed and the matching dresser  against the wall opposite of the foot of the bed.  The carpet was a brilliant white and squished beneath her flats as if they just got new carpet. Everything in the room was either dark and ivory and creme giving a beauty and timeless elegance to the room. Fresh flowers gave the room a faint natural smell, but not in an overpowering abundance.

Alec rubbed the back of his neck. Nervousness rolling off of him in waves. Aria grabbed his hand trying to soothe him the old fashion way before she tried a step further by altering his feelings.

"What's wrong honey?"

Alec looked everywhere else in the room but at his beloved.

"I do not know how to say it, so please bear with me," Alec started finally looking into the brown eyes he adored more than anything, "but I was wondering if you were available this Saturday."

"I am, why?"

"I wanted to do something special, just the two of us."

Aria smiled, "Alexander Volturi, are ya askin' me out on a date?"

Alec smiled sheepishly and shrugged looking at his shoes, "Possibly."

Aria hugged her immortal love, "I would love to go on a date with ya, honey."

"I will pick you up at 10 that morning."

"Why?"

"So we may spend the day in Seattle."

Aria kisses his cheek, "Alright Saturday at 10."

After spending the day watching Aria bond and listen to the stories everyone had to share and her sharing her own adventures, Alec walked with her back to her home. The young couple walked in comfortable silence their joined hands swinging between them.

"I guess this means good night," Alec said as they stood outside on the little porch.

"I'll see ya in the mornin'," Aria breathed.

"Have the sweetest dreams honeybee," Alec cooed.

"Honeybee?" questioned the southern belle, her accent earning a smile from Alec. Does she even know how adorable she sounds when she speaks? thought the immortal.

"I thought it would be a good nickname for you."

Aria tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "May I ask why?"

Alec kissed her forehead, "Bees bring life to the world. You, my little honeybee, have brought life to mine."

Aria felt her cheeks flush. Smooth, Volturi, real smooth. "I should get inside before it gets any darker."

Alec leaned forward capturing her lips in a good night kiss. Aria stood on her tip toes, her arms looped around her boyfriends neck as his wrapped around her waist. He pulled her closer deepening their kiss. His tongue swiped across her bottom lip earning a small gasp from her giving him just enough access into her mouth. Their tongues fought for dominance, earning a small growl from the vampire before his human let him win. Aria's lungs screamed for oxygen but she didn't care all that mattered right now was Alec. Her fingers found the hairs at the nape of his neck tugging on them softly, earning another growl from Alec.

Alec pulled away slightly, "I wouldn't start something I couldn't finish if I was you honeybee."

Aria's breathing was labored, "Sorry."

Alec kisses her forehead, "You don't need to apologize my love."

"I should get goin'."

"Good night honeybee."

"Buona notte amore mio," Aria said before entering the cabin leaving Alec baffled at her speaking Italian.

Alec rushed back to the house to find the tracker in the Cullens music room sitting at the piano.

"Demetri," Alec called, "I need you to teach me ballroom dancing."

"May I ask why?"

"I wish to take Aria on a date on Saturday."

The tracker smiled and stood up, "Then lets get started." The duo practiced all night, Alec quickly caught on, perfecting each style Demetri taught him. Alec planned on practicing until Saturday, every night after Aria had fallen asleep.

Alec couldn't wait until Saturday.
