Alec paced back and forth in front of the fireplace. He ran his hand through his hair for the eighth time in the past few minutes. He silently prayed as he redialed Aria's number for what felt like the millionth time. "Please pick up," Alec breathed, "please, please, please."

The automated voice of a woman graced his ears, "You have reached the voice mail-"

With a growl, Alec hung up the phone and looked at the Cullens. The girls had called asking if Aria returned to Forks without them. The boys were puzzled not confirming that Aria came home by taxi. Needless to say Alec had begun to panic, if his mate wasn't with her family and wasn't with him, where could she have been? Alec scanned the living room taking note of all of the other men that were busy talking on their phones.

"Alright, I love you too, bye-bye," Emmett spoke into the receiver of his phone before hanging up.

Alec looked up at the giant hopeful, "Did they find her?"

Emmett shook his head, "No, but they're still searching for her."

Alec ran a hand through his hair making the once perfectly combed hair a mess in an instant. His worry was growing too fast for his liking as different scenarios played out in his head of what could've happened to Aria. What if she was kidnapped? What if Elijah found her? What if a nomad turned her into a snack? Too many possibilities ran too quickly through the forever teens head until Edward put a hand on his shoulder and mouthed everything will be ok.

"I called Carlisle," Jasper said as he reentered the room, "he's coming home early to help us look."

Alec nodded and tried calling Aria's phone again. Maybe her phone died, he thought as he waited patiently for her soft voice to grace his ears. Another automated message. Jasper watched as Alec kept calling and recalling his niece each time the voicemail box popped up he felt Alec grow more anxious. In fact everyone had grown anxious since they received the phone call from Esme.

This wasn't like Aria. She always made sure her family knew where she was in case they needed her or just to know her location. She would always travel with at least one of the Cullens, if not her boyfriend. She only ventured in Forks alone, since she was familiar with the small dreary town.

"Did you see anything?" Edward asked Chris who was just as panicked, if not more so than the vampires in the house.

"No," Chris said with a shake of his head, "I didn't see anythang."

"I'm calling Demetri," Alec said as he scrolled to the trackers contact in his phone, "he'll be here by tomorrow and help us look."

All the boys agreed that was the best solution until Jaspers phone began to ring. Jasper looked at the caller ID and answered quickly.

"Alice?"

Everyone listened in on the conversation. Alice sounded distraught and on the verge of a breakdown. "Have Alec tell Demetri to go to Romania. That's where they're headed."

Jasper scrunched his eyebrows together, "Who?"

"Stefan and Vladimir," Alice cried, in the distance it sounded as if someone else, probably Esme was sobbing, "they have Aria I don't know what they're planning they haven't decided."

Alec felt his whole being go numb at the mention of the two surviving members of the last ruling coven. They were always looking for a way to weaken the guard. For centuries they hadn't found a chink in the armor....that was until now. Jane and Alec were two of the strongest gifted guards Aro had. Alec always feared the day he would meet his mate. He knew he should've talked Aria into turning sooner but he wanted to respect her decisions. Now he was paying the price. He knew whatever the Romanians had in mind for his girlfriend, it would only end in one thing. Death.

Quickly, Alec dialed the trackers number as he took Jaspers motorcycle heading in the direction of Seattle. After two rings Demetri picked up.

"Alec?" Demetri questioned, "what's wrong?"

"I'll explain when we see each other," Alec stated, "how fast can you get to Romania?"

"I can be there in a few hours."

"Good I'll meet you in the capital," Alec said and hung up to focus controlling the bike.

Come hell or high water Alec was going to get to his mate.

"I won't let them hurt you honeybee," Alec vowed, "I'll kill them for anything they've done to you."
