It was a little embarrassing at this point to admit your goal was to see Shoto. You told yourself that was just the side affect of your curiosity, but you hoped it wasn't creepy.
Your mom knew, of course. She didn't spoil it because if Shoto knew, he probably would've said something. He seemed too straight forward not to come clean about it. Your mom was almost more excited than you were. She was happy about being seeing her good friends, but after she saw how handsome Shoto was, she immediately wanted us to fall in love. That was expected from your mom. She had a tendency to be boy crazy, except it was with your life instead of her own.
Your mom was now laughing at how silly you were about this Shoto boy. You loved talking to your mom about boys. She wasn't too intrusive, and held the same excitement about it that you did. Although she was laughing, it was only because she was happy at how happy you were.
"It's so lucky that Fuyumi is related to Shoto. I don't know how we were both so oblivious to not knowing they were related," Your mom rolled her eyes. The two of you were roaming the isles of rows and rows of Christmas trees, while also going over your thoughts about Shoto.
"I know, right!" I laughed, then got distracted by a really nice tree, "Hey! Look at this one."
Your mom went over and picked at one of the branches, "It's pretty, but I don't think it's going to fit that well in our house. The two of you stepped back, only then did you realize how fat it actually was.
"Yeah, you're right-" Your mom cut you off, "Wait! Shush!"
You weren't sure how your mom's attention had gone so fast, but you looked to the large screen she was looking at in the corner of the tree shop. A few of the workers were around it drinking coffee and intently looking at the news.
A reporter had come onto the screen, standing in front of a police case in what looked to be just around Hosu City- which isn't that far from where you two were now.
"That's kind of scary," you noted and your mom hummed in agreement. Then the two of you went close to the small screen with the workers to listen.
"Unknown on his whereabout at the moment, the police are still trying to tract down this well known villain with the title of the hero killer, Stain. We note the everyone please be aware of who they come in contact with, and stay near someone at all times. Hero's will be patrolling popular areas for safety precautions," the reporter on the news said.
One of the workers took a puff of a cigarette, "Good thing this tree shop is pretty away from the main city."
"Yeah. Still kinda' close though. My family has an apartment around there," Another worker added.
"So that's why there have been more heroes out and about today," you said, looking to your mom and remembering seeing a few heroes around the city on the way here.
"Not only that, but the students of UA are doing their hero agency jobs soon. There will be a lot more patrolling the city," The worker with the cigarette turned to you and your mom in his chair.
You thought of Shoto, wondering if that meant he might be unsafe incase of a villain attack. Hopefully it would be left to the more advanced heroes... You couldn't bare to know he got hurt.
Your mom noticed that you got a little uncomfortable and cleared her throat, "Hey, boys? We'd like that tree over there."
"Yes, ma'am."
The two of you went over to the tree the two of you had decided was too wide earlier.
"But it's way too wide..." You frowned.
