You and Shoto stayed hugging like that for a while, until Shoto finally pulled away with a sigh.
"You did really good, Shoto. I'm so proud that you could do something as brave as that."
Shoto's lips formed a smile and he couldn't meet your eyes, "I should be thanking you. You were there for me."
"I'll always be there for you, Shoto. Like you promised, I'll be your hero," you laughed softly, beginning to walk with Shoto falling in step with you at your side.
"I'm still your hero too, Y/n. Don't forget that," Shoto commented.
"You think I would?" You bumped against his shoulder, "When you're the Number One hero, It'll be hard to forget."
Shoto laughed quietly, "I'll be the Number One hero just to make sure of it then."
"You better be."
You sighed, watching as your warm breath contrasted with the freezing air. Had it gotten colder? You smiled to yourself, unable to contain the happiness you always felt with Shoto at your side like this. Who knew the boy of your dreams would turn out to be stuck on you like a glove. It was still hard to believe this was all real.
"Hey, Sho-" You turned, about to say something when you suddenly noticed a small white fleck gently flutter down and land atop Shoto's nose. You stared for a moment, wondering if what you were seeing was real.
Stopping, Shoto's eyebrows turned up in concern, "What is it, Y/n?"
You held out your hand in front of you waiting patiently until another small white fleck landed in the center of your palm.
"No way..." You whispered.
Shoto held out his hand too as multiple small white dots littered your palms and melted against your gloves.
You looked to Shoto, whose hair and eyelashes were now littered with tiny small sparkles.
"Shoto, it's snowing..." You murmured, remembering back when you both met on the first snowday of the year.
"...like when we met," Shoto commented, as if to read your mind.
You both looked up at the same time, you blushed suddenly when you noticed a small bundled up chunk of mistletoe that hung from the telephone poll above the both of you.
Looking back at Shoto, you noticed not only your face was flustered, but his as well.
You couldn't help but laugh suddenly, almost feeling like you wanted to cry. Were you going insane or was this absolutely perfect? Like a scene from a movie...
"Kind of ironic, huh?" Your voice came out in a whisper. Shoto met your eyes and he smiled, "Yeah, I guess so."
With your stomach churning and your heart pounding in your chest, things seemed to slow down. The scenery around you became a hazy blur and the only thing you could picture clearly in front of you was Shoto's handsome face.
Leaning up towards, you closed your eyes and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. You pulled away, immediately flustered at what you had done.
"Sorry... that was- uhm... I-" Shoto cut off your nervous rambling, placing another gentle kiss on your lips. One of your hands softly cupped his face while the other lay on his chest. Surprising you a bit, Shoto deepened the kiss. He slid his hands around your waist and brought you closer to his warm body.
The kiss seemed to last forever in your mind, which was what you wanted to badly. But eventually you pulled away, looking into his eyes hazily. Even the cold air couldn't calm down the heat of your body and burning of your face.
"I like you... a lot, Y/n," Shoto murmured, his hands still on your waist.
You couldn't help but grin, sliding your hands around his neck and pulling him in for a hug, "I like you a lot too, Shoto."
With your hand slipped through his arm, the both of you continued to walk on your way to the train station, on the way admiring the snow fall around you like small little sprinkles of glittering sparkles.
"Shoto, you know the legend that you find true love with whoever you see on the first snowfall of the year," You asked when the train station became visible.
Shoto nodded, "I do."
You looked up at him and kissed him softly on his cheek, "Do you think it was meant to be ever since that day at the park seven years ago?"
Shoto leaned down and gave you a kiss on the cheek back. You jumped back, clutching where he had given you a kiss. Your cheek was now freezing cold to his touch.
"Shoto! Did you activate your quirk on that kiss?" You lightly punched his arm.
Shoto laughed, "Sorry. I wanted to see how you would react."
You pouted, "You're lucky I don't have a quirk or else I'd be getting you back right now."
"Sure. Sure."
You lightly punched him again, "Shut up."
But you were kidding. You never wanted to Shoto to stop anything he ever did. Because everything leading up to now had been absolutely perfect. Even through the hard time you both went through, it only brought you two closer. And from now on, you'd make so many more of those perfect memories you had now. You'd make sure of it.
Shoto began to kiss you more on the cheek, with you expecting it to be warm and soft, only too feel a cold touch instead. You hit him, but couldn't stop laughing at the same time.
"It's already cold enough, Shoto! I don't need any of your frozen kisses!"
