"Don't be so nervous, Mom. It's going to be fun."

You were telling your mom this as she clutched the steering wheel until her knuckles turned white. You were telling her this not only for her sake, but probably yours too. You were nervous as hell, but trying to hide it. You didn't want to make your mom more nervous than she already was, plus this was about her, not you.

The two of you were still sitting in the driveway of the Todoroki residence. It was a beautiful standard Japanese style mansion. You couldn't help but be jealous, and of course, intimidated.

"I have butterflies, Y/n! I don't think my brain can decide whether to be nervous or excited!" your mom was now looking over her appearance in the small car mirror. You looked at yours briefly. You had put on a bit of makeup, wanting to look your best. You really did look a lot like your mother. You were thankful for her beautiful genes.

"Well, I'm excited. Ready to go?" You asked, feeling anxious that they probably already heard our car pull up. It would be awkward if the family knew you and your mom were awkwardly giving yourselves inner pep-talks in their driveway.

You and your mom exited the car, approaching the big sliding doors surrounded by pretty landscape. The leaves of trees blew in the wind at the upcoming season of winter. It added a nice touch to the scenery.

Your mom must've straightened her skirt anxiously about several times before motioning for me to ring the doorbell instead of her.

Miss Todoroki opened the door with her familiar smile. It helped calm my nerves, but when I looked to my mom, her face was flushed red.

"Y/m! It's been so long!" Miss Todoroki exclaimed.

"It's so nice to see you, Fuyumi!" Your mom bowed, then she held out a platter of food the two of you had put together earlier.

"Thank you so much!" Miss Todoroki gestured to the open house after taking the platter, "C'mon in."

You and your mom entered the large house. You took in the smell of pine and the feel of warmth. There was no need to have your jacket on, so you slipped it off, revealing your favorite thin sweater. It was still a little hot, but you ignored it, rolling up your sleeves a bit.

The two of you were led into what you supposed was their dining room. A large table was set with fancy dinner supplies.

"I'm just finishing up dinner. Would the two of you like anything to drink?" Miss Todoroki asked.

"I'm alright, thank you," Your mom replied.

"Y/n?"

"I'm good too, thank you," You smiled.

"The potatoes are taking forever to boil. I'm supposed to get one of my younger brothers to help, but he insisted on entertaining the guests," Miss Todoroki sighed.

"Do you mean Natsuo? It's been so long! I barely remember him," Your mom laughed. You, of course, didn't know anything about the conversation, so you dazed off a bit, trying not to feel anxious.

"Well he's still only in college. I bet he'd love to see you. If only I knew where he was..."

"Right here!" A tall, young adult surprised the three of you by popping out from a doorway. He had the same facial features as Miss Todoroki, besides the hair and eye color. Although, it wasn't drastically different.

"Y/m! It's been forever!" he straight up hugged your mom, surprising her, yet she hugged back happily.

Then he turned to me, making me blush, "You're Y/n, right? Fuyumi's student?"

You nodded, a little shy, "Nice to meet you."

"I remember when Y/m first found out she was pregnant with you," Natsuo chuckled, "Those were the times."

Miss Todoroki nudged his shoulder, "You act like you're in on all our girl talk. You're still a baby."

Natsuo frowned, "I'm not that much younger... Anyway, it's nice to see you again!"

"You too, Natsuo," Your mom smiled.

A beeper suddenly went off in the kitchen, making Miss Todoroki flinch, "Those are probably the potatoes!" She rushed into the kitchen, leaving the three of you.

"Have a seat," Natsuo motioned to the table and you and your mom sat across from him.

"You're a first year in highschool, right, Y/n?" Natsuo asked.

"Mmhm," You smiled.

"That's how old my younger brother is. He should be somewhere to join us for dinner, but he's not too social."

You remembered Miss Todoroki talking about him earlier.

"Oh right! I remember your mom getting pregnant around the time I was!" Your mom added. Your curiosity had now peaked at who this brother was. Was is a sign you two were the same age. The thought of being friend's crossed your mind, but he didn't even go to your school.

"He's 15, now," Natsuo added.

"That's how old Y/n is!"

"What school does he go to?" You asked, a little timidly, but you were still heard.

"Right now he's attending UA."

"That's so cool!" You exclaimed, not able to contain how thrilled you were, even after already hearing it from Miss Todoroki. You would be able to meet a student with an amazing quirk aspiring to be a hero!

"Dinner is served!"

Miss Todoroki came in with her hands full of plates. You were just about to start up an interesting conversation! Maybe their brother could tell you about it later.

"I'll help you with those!" You offered immediately, getting up from your seat on the floor.

"Oh, thank you, Y/n! Could you get more in the kitchen?"

"Of course," You said, going to where Miss Todoroki had come from. Your nose almost led the way to the delicious food. Was that dumplings you smelled? In the kitchen, the countertop was full of beautiful food. Miss Todoroki was an amazing cook, you could tell by just presentation alone. You didn't need to taste it to have your mouth watering.

"Are you Y/n?" A low, soft voice came from the door opposite the way to the dining room. You flinched in surprise, then slowly turned, somewhat laughing in embarrassment for being so shocked.

When you turned, your face fell and your whole body turned to what seemed like ice. You recognized that face like it was only yesterday you had saw it. It was stoo good to be true. Was it even good? You were sure now your daydreams hadn't been made-up memories. They were real and this was the boy you had met that fateful winter day. It was like the memory was playing all over again... Did he even remember you?

"S-Shoto?"
