"Stephanie, can you help me put these pile of clothes in the lugagge?" asked Mila , my babysitter. I nodded,"Sure."
I knew Mila since the moment I opened my eyes to see the world. My parents hired her just when my mother was expecting me. Mila was like my best friend and the only one who understanded me the most until 6th grade, starting middle school. She requested for a holiday to her hometown and she would be leaving me in a few days time. I was happy for her as she could meet her long lost family again but I was worried for one thing.
She might not want to go return back here.
My little sister, Tiffany , asked, "Steph, will Mila return?" I answered, "Maybe."
Before I could become psycho thinking about it, Clarice , not my favourite person and also my rival, called.
"See you at the auditions. I'll guarantee that you will be going down," she hung up. There was a singing audition organised by my school to know the next voice of the school and I wanted to be it, but Clarice will always block my way to achieve success . Gosh, I did not do anything wrong to her!
I needed some support. Not from Mila, but from Jake. We are in a relationship since last summer . He is kind of sweet but at the same time hot-tempered . We fought at certain times , but it is always a small matter .
"Can you stop accusing Jacob on flirting me ? He is my friend , for goodness sake!" I shouted. He replied, "Only if he stop being close to you."
Now you can see how unreasonable Jake can be.
Back to the topic...
We agreed to meet at our usual place, The Foundation, which was where we first met. I kept humming my song for the audition to let him know the reason I asked him to meet, but instead, he got annoyed, "Stop humming." He did not get it!
"I want to tell you that I joined a singing audition again and I want you to help me practise !" my eyes became watery. He chuckled, "Aww, don't take it too seriously, babe! Of course I can read your mind."
How? And, oh, did he just say 'telepathy'? What a joke!
"Ok, sweetie, I want to hear your beautiful voice!" "Sure, music please!" He started with the guitar and we had a good time until I forgot about everything, even Mila.
