The corridor was shrouded in darkness, with only a few caged caution lights aligning the walls. A single door waited at the end, drawing Oliver to it. He could sense that his target was just behind the door, a dark instinct pulled him closer. His footsteps stopped when he reached the door as did all his warning signs going off in his head. Part of him warned of a trap or ambush that could lie beyond the door, but the beast wouldn't listen or acknowledge those concerns. It swallowed everything within him and turned it into deeper hate and desire to feed. Oliver pulled the ear bud from his ear, wanting no interruptions as he passed through the threshold. The door opened into a large open room, supported by the numerous carved pillars lined throughout it. A holy aura lingered in the air, the only light came from the many candles that surrounded all. A sensation of being back in the Lazarus Pit struck Oliver momentarily as he came across some sort of alter lying in the center of the room, a massive familiar machine sitting beside it. Despite yet seeing the actual device the team was after, Oliver, knew exactly what it was and what it would do. The design was eerily similar to Malcolm Merlin's earthquake devices, with a few modifications that were necessary for it's new and more deadly purpose. Oliver easily turned away from the devastating machine and searched for his real goal.
"You've come all this way, and yet you barely give the device a second glance." Ra's began proudly as he stepped out from behind a pillar. Oliver focused in on his target, preparing for battle. Ra's smiled, he could plainly see the pain and rage pouring from the young hero.
"Perhaps you are truly lost?" He spoke, mocking his opponent. Oliver gripped his bow and steadily moved toward his enemy.
"Let us see for certain then." Ra's added, sidestepping behind the pillar and disappearing into the shadows. Oliver paused, scanning the room with his eyes and feeling out into the darkness around him. His hatred gave him a sense of his surroundings that aided in his awareness, heightening his other senses and making his extremely lethal. A moment later and two assassins emerged from the shadows from both of Oliver's sides, they charged him with swords ready. A quick snap to his side and Oliver drove an arrow from his thight holster into both of the assassins' chest simultaneously, killing them both instantly. They're bodies hung in space for a few seconds, they're hands eventually dropping their swords as their bodies caught up with their sudden demise. A flurry of movement caused Oliver to evade another attacking assassin. He moved back and let both of his victims collapse as he evaded a swinging blade aimed for his head. The new assassin pushed his assault, hoping to crowd his target and give him no room to react properly. Oliver jumped from side to side as he dodged the sword that danced around his face. He pulled his bow upward and fired a series of arrows in his opponents direction, but all flew wide of their marks. The arrows shot off into the darkened corners of the room as the assassin kept his attacks furious. Oliver stood his ground and used his bow to block and deflect a few strikes from the man's sword. The assassin had pushed Oliver only a few feet from the edge of the room, the shadows reached out and nearly swallowed them both as they fought. The sword swung back and forth with precision until Oliver glanced a strike off of his bow, causing the assassin to stager slightly and disrupt his attack pattern. Oliver capitalized on the moment by spinning completely around before firing a single arrow directly into the man's forehead at point blank range. The assassin jerked back and launched into the air with his head anchoring his body down to the floor. Oliver quickly followed up by dropping to his knee and blindly snapping another arrow over his head at the hidden assassin moving to ambush him from the darkness. The assassin crashed into the hanging lantern before they fell to the floor. The lantern swung back and forth, exposing dwrk areas to the light. Four more dead assassins lie against the walls, each with arrows emerging from them. Oliver's previous blindfire when fighting the swordsman had actually been intended for these men and women clinging to the shadows and waiting to strike. Despite being practically invisible, Oliver, had sensed them through a combination of hearing and experience. The League wasn't above playing dirty, in fact they thrived on it. Once again emerging from the shadows, Ra's admired the damage that had been done. He studied Oliver, knowing that he wasn't actually dealing with Oliver Queen or the Green Arrow anymore.
