After a few seconds, the Delinquents erupt into cheers, all of them eventually standing back up. A few minutes filled with cheers passes, after which Rory quietens the group down with a large smile on her face.
"Thank you, seriously. You will never know just how much this means to me, how much you all mean to me. I've never wanted this, to become what I was born to be. But, you've all made me realise that this is where I should be, where I need to be. It's an honour and a privilege to stand before you as your Queen." Rory confesses. She clears her throat and looks back out at them. "I hate to rain on anyone's parade but, we should probably all start to head out now. Stay safe all of you, including those staying behind at camp." She tells them. She stays where she is, watching as they all say their goodbyes and start to head off into the woods. After a few seconds she walks over to Bellamy. "What are we waiting for, Hotshot? Time's ticking." She says, not bothering to wait for him.
He shakes his head and quickly catches up to her, slipping his rifle over his shoulder. "You're keeping the crown on?" He asks, glancing down at her.
"Yes." She tells him. "It suits me, don't you think?"
Bellamy looks over at her, taking in her appearance. He remembers moments earlier when she was sat on her throne and all the air in his lungs had been ripped out, which has happened each time he's laid eyes on her since they landed on the ground. But he can't tell her that. He can't tell her that every single time he looks at her, his heart bursts and he struggles to breathe. "It does." He says, settling on those simple words. He clears his throat, trying to recover and focus on the mission. "So, what's the plan?"
"I was thinking we do what we did on our last hunting trip? Head out towards the river and follow it up towards the source. Hopefully there will be some sign of animal movement close to the water source."
He nods his head in agreement. "That's fine with me."
"I wasn't asking," she says, looking up at him with a smirk, "but it's cute that you thought you had to give me the go ahead."
"Did you just call me cute?" He asks, looking at her incredulously. "I don't think 'cute' is a word people use to describe me."
"But, you are cute." Rory tells him, unable to stop herself. "Your freckles, the curly dark hair, the way you're the biggest history geek I know." She mutters, distracting herself slightly before snapping back to reality. She doesn't feel the knowing stares of Clarke and Octavia on her back, both of them having heard the conversation. "What words do you think people use?"
"For starters, hot." He deadpans, Rory letting out a loud laugh that warms his heart. "Drop-dead gorgeous, handsome, fit, the most attractive man they've ever seen, a Greek God amongst mortals."
She shakes her head and gently hits his arm. "Cocky? Full of himself? I think you should add those to the list too." She jokes, spinning round so she's walking backwards and can see him.
