"Before we go running around with no plan let's get ourselves fortified somewhere and come up with a plan." Aaron said.

"How about here?" Hannah asked, "There's a kitchen that is stocked, bathrooms, and weapons."

"How many windows?" Evan asked.

"Just the doors, my brother designed this building with a glass ceiling instead of windows for more light for activities." Sam said.

"That makes this easier. I'm going to take Aaron and Hunter with me to lock doors and check for anyone else in the building." Evan said.

The three of them started to head to the door.

"We're going to lock this door just in case someone else is here and infected." Sam said.

"If it's us coming back?" Aaron asked.

"You know who's in this room." Sam said.

"So, no code knock or anything?" Aaron asked.

"We didn't see anyone when we came in so I think we're the only ones here, someone else won't know who's in this room so if it comes down to needing a code to enter, you've got our names." Sam said.

"That works, let's go." Evan said and led the way out of the room. Sam went and locked the door behind them.

"Do we have anyone else of ours we need to round up?" Daisy asked.

"We're it; everyone else is at the hospital." Sam said, "Except Axel, we found him, it looks like he fell down a stair case."

Daisy's eyes filled with tears and she walked over to the shooting range and picked up an archery bow. Hannah just nodded. Sam starting taking an inventory of the weapons and ammo we had available to us in this room. I went and sat at a table used to clean weapons. I was thinking of Axel and feeling like I had let him down. I couldn't help but watch Daisy with the bow. She was shooting off arrows; they were all over the place. It was easy to pretend nothing bad was happening in here where we couldn't see or hear anything going on outside.

"Sam let us in." Evan's voice came through the door. Sam opened the door and the three guys entered.

"No one else is here and the doors are secured." Evan said.

"We also found the security room that had cameras on the outside of the building. I think we should make that our place to plan since we can see outside in there." Aaron said.

"Daisy, how about you put down the bow." Hunter said. She did so and came over to us.

"Did the cameras show you much of what's going on?" Sam asked.

"I think we should go to the room so you can see for yourself, we already gathered food from the kitchen and got it set up." Evan said.

"You're always prepared, aren't you?" Daisy asked.

"I try to be." He said.

Walking down the halls felt normal and surreal at the same time. It was just a hallway with nothing abnormal about it, but I knew what was going on outside these walls. I wasn't sure I wanted to see what the security cameras would show us. The room came up before I was ready to face the live video footage playing.

There were four screens that showed all around the outside of the rec center. There was chaos on all of them. There was blood coming from people being chased down and jumped. There was a child sitting on someone, he had their stomach ripped open and was holding internals. Sam was studying the screen. It seemed like the rec center was being ignored by everything happening around it.
