"Wait here." Drew said as he disappeared out of the room before anyone could say anything.
I watched Aaron stand up with Sam. The door banging closed echoed in the silence of the room. Sam and Aaron paced around the room in opposite directions. The slight tapping from their footsteps was rhythmic. Drew returned with someone I hadn't seen before following him.
"Sorry for running off. I wanted someone's opinion who's flown over this area for years on the locations of those flares." Drew explained as he grabbed the map back out and showed the new guy where he thought the flares had shot up from.
"From what I saw over at the hanger I think you're right on the location." The guy said. He had a shaved head and hazel green eyes.
"Who's this?" Aaron asked as he nodded towards the guy with the map.
"This is Leo Wills; he's the helicopter pilot for Paradis." Drew answered.
"Copter seats seven people counting myself so I say a crew of 3 should go up with me and have a crew of 3 more waiting with radios in case we need help." Leo directed as he looked over us, "Drew I assume you are coming so how about the girl there and her buddy come with us?" Leo was pointing at Aaron and me.
"Sounds good to me." Drew agreed, "Sam, Hunter, and Micah; I want you to be the crew with radios for us to call if we need help. Sam, get one of the trucks ready."
We didn't say goodbye just had to chase after Leo who was already on the move to the helicopter. Drew was right on his heels moving so fast both Aaron and I were almost running to keep up. Neither one of them looked back to make sure we were following. After a few sharp turns we came to a building that looked like a giant garage. Leo lead us right in through a door between to huge garage doors.
There was an electric green helicopter parked in the middle of the garage we found ourselves standing in. Paradis Roulette was scrawled across the side of the helicopter in a dark blue.
"How do you like my ride?" Leo asked us as he walked over and started doing some sort of walk around on the helicopter.
"No offense but I'll be happy when we land back here and are done." I told him.
"Not a flyer I take it?" Leo asked.
"No, not really." I answered as he opened up a door and motioned us to start boarding.
"Well don't you worry with me in the pilot seat you will be safe as can be in the air." Leo said as he held out his hand to help me climb into the helicopter.
I climbed in with Aaron right behind me and Drew following.
"We all need to put on the helmets; they have built in mouth pieces and headphones so we will be able to talk to each other over the noise." Drew told us as he slipped the helmet from the seat next to the pilot seat on. Aaron and I mimicked what he did with a couple of the helmets that were in the seats behind Drew. Leo looked impressed when he climbed in and slipped his own helmet on. It looked like he was just flipping switches but suddenly there was all sorts of lights blinking and you could hear the propeller above us picking up speed.
"So quick question." Aaron's voice sounded in my ears.
"What's up?" Leo asked.
"How do we get out of the garage?" Aaron asked.
"Door up above us that Drew designed for this copter." Leo responded, "Now everyone buckle up because here we go."
The helicopter started lifting off the ground and it felt like we were in an elevator until I made the mistake of looking out the window. The way the dome was designed made it so the door Drew designed to get the helicopter out of the garage opened straight into open sky. We were seeing the dome shrinking below us as we gained altitude. Drew and Leo looked like kids in a candy store while Aaron looked like he was trapped on a rollercoaster from hell. He looked at me and his eyes were wide from what I could see of them.
