The 74th hunger games was over, Katniss volunteered for Prim and Peeta got reaped. He confessed his love for Katniss but she refused to give in to a love story-angle since she didn't like the fact that Peeta has been stalking her for 7-8 years. The careers liked her temper and she joined them to increase the odds. Peeta took his life in the arena of grief and after two days and 17 dead tributes Katniss manage to betray them and is crowned victor!
When she comes back to District 12 she is warmly welcomed by her family and Gale, her hunting partner and best friend.
