Chapter 11

Hey guys! I'm actually adding two(!) new characters to the story. You already know who they are because they've appeared in the books and movies, although they're not the same as in either the movies or the books ...

Gales POV

Not that we're planning on having a big capitol wedding, but we're working out some of the details as someone knocks on the door.

"Come in" I say.

A blonde haired girl with sidecut and a tattoo stretching from her head to her left hand enters the room.

"You're Cressida aren't you" Katniss asks and I'm having a hard time following "I think Haymitch mentioned you sometime when I was in the capitol".

"Yes, I'm glad you remember" Cressida answers and wave to someone at the end of the corridor to come.

A tall, dark haired boy, a few years older than Gale but the same as Cressida, enters the room.

"This is my twin brother, Castor".

How in the world can they be twins!? They look nothing alike!

"We're studying media in the Capitol, and we'd like to broadcast your wedding" Castor says.

"How do you know we're getting married" Katniss asks and a concerned look is showing on her face.

"Haymitch told me ..." Cressida answers and before anyone can react Katniss is racing downstairs and out the door to Haymitch's house.

When we reach his house, Katniss is already fighting with him.

"Just because you're an alcoholic ass, it doesn't mean you don't have to respect others"!!  

"How can you walk around talking about other people's private life to strangers"!!

"Because she's an old friend" he splutters and he's clearly drunk "She sold one of her best cameras so I could buy medicine for you in the arena".

Startled Katniss steps back and looks at Cressida, then back at Haymitch. Suddenly she lunges herself at Haymitch and starts clawing at him, yelling all kinds of insults.

"You lying chicken" she tries to punch him "I swear you bought some whiskey instead because that healing cream felt very cheap"!

Before Katniss can land even one punch Cressida steps in "He's right, Katniss".

I grab Katniss' wrist and pull her away from Haymitch who's struggling to stand up straight. With hatred in her eyes Katniss glares at me as Cressida continues "It wasn't much, but it was enough to buy you that medicine because of all the 24 tributes I actually rooted for you" she pauses and looks at Castor "Out of all of you, a volunteer with no intetion but to save her sister caught my attention! And I don't even like watching The Hunger Games".

I smiled a little. Of what I've seen and heard, Cressida and I are very much alike.

"But what makes you think you're allowed to film my wedding just because you 'saved' my life"?

"Don't be stupid Katniss" I say without thinking and desperately try t come up with a good explanation "Without that medicine we wouldn't be able to get married in the first place".

"I hate to break it to you Katniss, but you're fiancée is right" Cressida says and I'm surprised Katniss haven't exploded again because we're pushing all her buttons right now.

"Do you really need to broadcast it" Katniss asks "I mean wouldn't it be enough to record it and show your teacher"?

"I guess, how about that Castor"?

He lightly nods for an answer.
