< A M A S A I >

Shuichi and Rantaro sobbed and yelled as they watched one of their favourite character's execution on tv. The two were avid fans of Danganronpa and never missed an episode. Both dreamed of being in it one day, even though they'd have to put their lives on the line. That was a small price to pay though.

"T-That was horrible but amazing."
Shuichi said.
"Yeah. That was really well thought, especially the last bit."
Rantaro turned away from the tv to Shuichi.

"I hope we get in together next season Shu."
"I know. If we do we'll stick together now matter what."
He smiled.
"Imagine the ratings if one of us died and the other found the body."
"You were made for this game Shuichi."
They laughed together.

———

"YOU GOT IN!"
Shuichi yelled, looking at Rantaro's acceptance letter.
"Of course I did! Wait you didn't?"
Taro looked at Shuichi's letter.

"Awww....That's a shame..."
The blue haired boy frowned. Taro put a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry I'll win this for you."
"Hey I know you will."

———

"Alright we have our two sacrifices. But instead of an execution, they'll be joining us in the next season!"
Shuichi started crying. He didn't know if they were tears of happiness or sadness. Rantaro was making it out alive but at the same time, he'd be in the next season. Shuichi just had to hope he would be accepted in to the next season.

And he was. But this was a horrible, horrible thing on his part.

———

Shuichi continued to cry, his head in his knees. Somebody had died. And that somebody was Rantaro. The two had become so close over the course of multiple days. To be honest, Shuichi had felt some kind of connection to him, as if he somehow knew the mysterious boy before hand.

But now, he was sprawled out on the library floor, blood spilled from his head and with a shot put ball by him, unmoving. Shuichi couldn't help but blame himself. Obviously he couldn't have done anything about it but a small part of him thought had maybe it he had went with Taro, he could still be alive right now.

Regardless, he couldn't do anything now. Little did he know, this was the exact thing he had signed up for. If he remembered it, he sure would've regretted it now.
