Kidnapped

Chapter 23

I think I can start my escape plan but I'm not sure. It's not that I'm not sure about everything there's only one part that I'm not sure about. Is Hunter actually telling the truth. I will have to ask Haley and Jason just to make sure but what if they lie to me like Hunter did. Well, I'm not exactly sure if Hunter lied so I guess I can't really say that.

Just thinking about all of this makes me want to be sick. It makes me feel better when I at least think I can start my escape plan. I know we are in Wisconsin but I don't know where in Wisconsin. Everything just doesn't add up. When I first got kidnapped we stopped at a gas station and the cops came but when the cops stopped us outside they didn't say anything about me at ask why I was trying to tell them help. I knew that the police officer saw me and I'm pretty sure he knew I was mouthing help.

I also don't get when we were at the hospital, how the nurse didn't ask for information. Usually when you go to the hospital you have to get the person who is injured, their information. You also need insurance and I don't get how Jason knew all of that or even knew it at all.

I wanted to go for a walk this morning after I made Hunter his lunch. There really is no place to walk beside around the barns. Although Hunter never put the bracelets back on to make sure that I don't run away out of the yard. I could probably ask him but I really don't feel like it.

I decide to just take a walk down the road and back without asking. I'm actually not going to run away again because there's no point. Every time I try something happens. The first time I ran away I somehow , magically, ended up back inside this hellhole. The second time I ran into an electric fence and ended up in a wheelchair. So I guess running away doesn't help. Let's just hope that someone finds me in time. By in time I mean 'I have no clue what he is going to do'.

I decide to go to the beach that is just down the road. I just sit there and put my feet in the water and think.

What if I never escape or no one ever finds me? I hope that someone does find me and no one just gives up on finding me. My mom must be so worried. We were in that fight and I don't even remember what it was because it was probably a stupid fight like always. We got in a fight at least 3 times a week and they were all stupid fights about stupid things.

I decided that now would be a good time to go back because I don't want to stay here too long and then get yelled at by Hunter for leaving the 'property'. As I'm walking back to the house I see Haley down the road. The weird part was that she is on a horse. Paris. Why would she be riding in the middle of the road?

"Haley!" I yell to the mysterious girl on 'my' horse.

Her head whipped around and when she seen me she started trotting toward me.

"What?" She asks only feet away.

"Why are you riding paris this early in the morning?" I question her.

"Uhh....cuz I woke up early and I needed to clear my head" what would she need to clear her head for?

"Clear your head?" I ask, clearly confused

"Yeah, I.. Uh.. I just had some personal things going on. Nothing for you to worry about."

"Personal. We are in the middle of nowhere kidnapped. What could be so personal that you can't tell me what's going on?" My voice is starting to rise.

"I said it was none of your business!" She says and starts leaving.

Well that was different. I was going to ask for a ride back but I guess not. It takes me about 5 minutes to get back and when I do its quiet. Almost too quiet because there's always music on for the animals or Hunter is yelling at someone for nothing.

I walk into the house and it's silent. Literally silent. My ears are ringing because I can't hear anything. I'm pretty sure I didn't just go deaf in that 5 minutes it took me to get back

"Hello?!" I yell as loud as I can.

There's no answer so I decide to look around the house. I look in the kitchen first because Hunter is usually eating all the time but when I check no one is there. I go to the living room and still nothing. Where is everyone?

"Hello!?" I yell again but still there is no answer.

I go upstairs into my room no one is there. I go outside to check the barn. As I'm walking to the barn I hear a loud crash. I have no clue where it came from but I know that it was loud. I start running to the barn to make sure that the animals are ok. Hopefully I find Haley putting Paris in her stall. When I get there Paris is gone and so are all of the other animals. I want to go to the riding barn to make sure that no one is in there.

I get to the barn and no one is there. I go back to the house still wondering what that loud crash was. On my way back to the house I figure out exactly what the loud crash was.

Right in front of me is a pile of people and animals. They have blood covering them. The loud crash was a gunshot. But it was a bunch of them at once I think. I'm pretty sure that's why it made a loud crash noise.

I'm in shock. Everyone is in a pile in front of me covered in blood. I feel like crying but then I remember what Hunter and Jason did. I'm still not sure what to think about Haley but Paris is also in front of me.
