19. team effort

The place i put my location at in the sim card was a place that was close to our new base.

I needed to get there fast. And I needed to call Matt and Joey. But how do i know if they aren't around their gang? Shit.

I have to rely all on Kieran and his family's gang.

I drove as fast as i could and told Kieran to text his members the address in case they get lost.

I was at the base in about 45 minutes.

I parked at the back, and got out.

"Okay look. I don't know if Ron's gang is in there, so we have to be as quiet as possible, and be ready for anything."

"The first thing i need to do, is find Matt and Joey. Got it?"

Kieran nodded his head and the rest of the members that were there did as well.

I pulled the gun from my waistband, turned off safety and aimed it in front of me.

I put in the code to the place and walked in.

The whole part of this building was to make it look like there wasn't anything in here, so people would just leave, but if you press certain buttons you will find secret rooms.

I went to the wall on the right and and pressed down on one of the bricks. It had a key to the office.

I went down the long hallway and went to the door at the direct back.

I put in the key and unlocked the door.

I waited a second and then opened the door.

I looked up to see Matt and Joey with their guns on me.

"Oh thank god it's you." Said Joey.

I put my finger on my mouth signaling him to shut up.

He did.

I put my gun in my waistband and went through the drawers looking for a bug.

I didn't find one and then i opened a box that was on the desk.

I put my hand up to my ear in a phone shape and looked at everyone.

They handed me their phones, and i put them in the box. I put the lid of the box back on it. Then turned back to the crew.

"The box blocks out any outside noise, so if they were to tap our phones they wouldn't hear us right now."

"But what about yours?" asked Matt.

"I threw it at the wall when i got the text."

"Ahh. Figured." I glared at Matt.

He looked at the group. "She has a lot of pent up anger and anger issues, they don't mix well together." He said to the rest of the people in the room.

I punched him on the arm and then opened up the door opposite of us.

The room had all our tracking technology and all the new information we got. So the news from Zach would be in there.

Matt, Joey and I were digging through the drawers and pulled out all the new things. I started to read it.

I do this thing where i psychoanalyze everything, so when i read it I think of every possibility why they would need me. Why have me?

I get that Ron was mad i got him in jail, but he knew that was coming to him. I know jail is coming to me in the future. So why be so upset about it?

I went over the white board we had and started to write on it.

I wrote 'Ron' at the top. He's the start of all of this.

Or is it me?

I wrote down my name next to his.

I started to branch out things that were relevant to each person.

Ron: sent to jail by me, hated me, killed 100s of people, broke out of jail?/ was broken out of jail?, wanted me for what?

Me: anger issues, heir of number one gang, has a past with Ron, Jasmine? Hunter? Cause pain to others, Trouble dealing with shit.

I then connected the ones that both of had in common.

That included, him being sent to jail because of me, hating me, my past with him, jasmine, hunter.

Big question of it all was Why i was at the center of it all.

"Matt, so you haven't seen my parents anywhere?"

"No, we were on our way here because we got a weird text, but no one was here. No members were called in. So we came in here and started to try to find something out."

"Yeah, i think we have a similarity."

"What is it exactly?" asked Ian.

"Everything is connected to me and my past, but i'm not sure exactly why."

"Well it's obvious, Ron had a grudge against you. I mean he was put in jail because of you."

"Yeah, but he should have known that was coming. We all know that we can get caught by the cops and be put in jail. It's a risk we all take. It shouldn't be a reason to target me for it."

"Well what did he do that got him in jail."

i looked at Matt. Then i looked down at the ground. I knew i was going to have to tell people about this, but i didn't think it would be this soon.

"...My friend Jasmine, she was raped and then killed by Ron. The rape was a different time, but she was killed because he hated me for something. He always started to target me, whenever i did something he didn't like."

"I told the cops what he did bc i wanted to see him suffer, i told them all of his crimes and and threw a some of his friends under the bus as well. I was hurt and i took it out like that."

"Was there anything else?"

"Yeah there is, but i can't talk about it. It's too raw."

Kieran had side eyed me.

"Okay, well that's a good amount of info. What friends of his did you rat out?"

"Their names were Tiggy and Dan, they never got out though. Ron was the only one who got out before they found out. The other two were put in solitary confinement, because of it."

"So Ron's the whole deal, he was the first one out, the first choice. He needed out for some reason."

"What would you do that he didn't like? You said he hurt you when he saw you do something he didn't like."

I started to think about it. He only ever hurt me when i started to get close to someone. Whether it was a friend or a boyfriend. He wouldn't let me be close with anyone.

When it was Zach he targeted me at the race.

Then he shot Zach.

I took a second then went back over to the board.

I erased everything i had before and wrote just my name.

"It wasn't about what happened in the past and who died, it was about me. He would never let me get close to someone."

"When i got close to Jasmine, he raped her, and threatened her to never speak to me again, then that didn't work so he tortured and killed her as a punishment."

"Whenever i got a boyfriend or hooked up with someone he would always beat them to a pulp."

That one day at the race, Ron stopped me and Zach, and threatened to kill him."

"It was never about Zach, or money, it was me."

"And i would always reject him, because one he's way older and two he was always so abusive and pushy."

"He took the saying, if i can't have you no one can, to reality."

"So why are they still coming after you and your family?"

"He wants to finish the deal."
