Reflections - The Neighborhood
We stayed on the couch and watched movies all night, mom came in to give me another ice pack, but that was all i saw of her.
I stayed in my spot with my painkillers and cold bricks of ice.
Kieran was by my side, and Lila on the other.
At some point she had fallen asleep, and laid her head on my shoulder.
Since it was a weekend we didn't have school so i could sleep in however long i wanted to.
And boy was i going to sleep a lot.
Those punches wore me out. Every time i moved my body felt like it was on fire.
Even when i swallowed, i felt like death.
The leader had practiced fighting a lot. He never focused on aim, but on strength, and i could tell A LOT.
I tried to stay up so i could go to my room, but moving wasn't an option.
And unless i could magically teleport myself it looked like i was staying on the couch.
At some point through the night i laid my head on Kieran's shoulder, and he put his arm around me.
Probably because it was more comfortable.
*The next morning*
I woke up in the same position i fell asleep in.
My neck had a knot in it, since it was bent all night.
The ice pack left my skin cold and damp, and the blanket as well.
Even though i didn't want to move out of the warmth and comfort, i needed to go to the bathroom and take more pain meds.
I got up off the couch pretty easily. I then went to the bathroom in my room.
I'm used to getting up pretty early, and i was still awake earlier than everyone that was on the couch.
I decided to take another shower and to get dressed into something comfortable, but not too tight on my body.
I then went downstairs to see if anyone else was up or not.
No one else had gotten up, so i went and sat on the chair that was in the living room.
Mom said that she is going to hangout with her new friend, aka Kieran's mom, and dad is going to talk strategies with Kieran's dad.
There wasn't much to do, so i went in the kitchen and got a granola bar.
Eating still felt weird to me so i stuck with something neutral.
I ate half the bar and put the rest away. It just wasn't sitting well with me.
I drank some water and let that fill me up for now.
I had gotten a text from mom, saying that we can do whatever we want while we are here.
