26. dinner party

After driving for about ten minutes we start to come to a road i've been on before.

It's so familiar, but so far away that i can't grasp what and where it leads to.

After a few more seconds of confusion, Lila looks at me from the passengers seat.

"What?" she asked.

I stopped scrunching my eyebrows, and said, "Oh, um, where are we going exactly?"

"You don't remember?"

I snapped my head to her for a second. "Wh-."

"We're going to Kieran's." She had a smirk on her lips.

"Oh."

I put my focus back into the road, but not before tuning out Alias.

"Wait. What?" He giggled. "She's been to Kieran's before? and he says it's not official."

I glared at him from the rear view mirror.

And when he stopped rolling his eyes, he met my eyes.

And he looked over to Ellie.

I looked back to the road and smirked to myself.

He is one crazy guy, but i'm starting to like his personality.

It's better than him being a raging bitch.

So i will take overly hyped up teenager/adult, rather than a bad attitude mole rat any day.

*10 mins later*

We finally reached Kieran's house, and we parked. I shut off the car as quickly as possible.

I know i said i was starting to like his personality, that doesn't mean i want to hear him talking non stop about if i possibly have a love life with his best friend.

After they all opened their door, i locked my car and headed up the steps to Kieran's house.

Kieran, Ian, and Zach were at the top of the steps already.

Ian spoke up. "How was the drive?"

I looked over at him. The death glare obviously on my face.

He burst out laughing when he saw my face, along with Zach. Kieran had a huge grin on his lips.

The others were a few feet behind me on the stairs.

"Okay, let's get you inside before you do something you'll regret." Zach gripped my shoulders and steered us in the direction of the front door.

"I don't think i'll regr-."

"Shhhhhh. Just walk."

I then closed my mouth and went into the house. Forgetting that it wasn't just Zach and I for a second.

When we entered the house, Zach steered us into the kitchen.  The others started to get food out, and began cooking something.

I was confused, it was like a regular thing to them. 

I looked down for my purse, but realized i left it in the car. My stomach had started to hurt again, i guess my pain meds wore off.

I got off the stool i sat on, and excused myself from the table. 

I looked up at them, "Umm i'll be right back I have to get something."

Kieran nodded and I went for the front door.

After i got my purse, i locked my car again, and headed back into the house.

Once i was back on the stool, i dug into my purse and pulled out the pain meds i had.

I unscrewed the bottle and took one of the pills out.

I put the lid back on and put it back on my purse. I then put my purse on the back off the chair i was on.

Before i realized i didn't have water, i started to get up. Once i stood up and turned around i saw a glass on the island.

I looked up and saw Kieran with a short smile on his face. I smirked back up to him.

I look off to the right, sensing someone was there. And of course it was Alias, with a disgusted look on his face.

I dropped the smirk, and rose my eyebrows at him.

I then took my pill, with the water.

Instead of running away like last time, i put myself in the equation as well.

I walked over to Ellie and Lila.

I looked at both of them. "So how can i help?"

They looked at each other and then passed me a ball of dough.

"Okay, so you are going to roll this out, fold it a couple times and cut them in thin lines."

I listened to everything she said, and then got to work.

Apparently we were making pasta, which i know how to do already, but i wasn't going to interrupt.

After about 30 minutes of laughing and making jokes, we had got the noodles all done.

The boys were working on the sauce and salads.

There was flour all over the three of us, i swear i breathed it in like 12 times.

While the pasta cooked, us girls had gone and cleaned ourselves off.

We were in the guest bathroom, we were wiping and washing off the flour that flung to our clothes.

I looked in the mirror as i brushed off the flour from my cheek.

"So..."

I looked over at Lila. My eyebrows scrunched down.

"So?"

She smirked. "So what do you think about our offer?" Ellie started to wiggle her eyebrows.

I turned away from them, and started to smirk.

"Nothing is final, but i would say that tonight might make or break the deal."

I look over at them. Their smiles are huge.

With a final wash of my hands, i wipe them dry.

"Come on, let's go." I nodded my head towards the door.

We walked out and back into the kitchen to see the boys had went and sat down in the living room.

We went in there as well and waited for the timer for the pasta to go off.

I sat down next to Zach on the couch.
He looked over at me. I looked at him.
"Can we stop fighting?"

I waited for an answer from him.

He smiled. "Yes. I need my best friend back."

He held out his hand, and i put my hand in his. Thank god. My life is actually coming together.

"Hey hey!! No! You don't hold hands with him!"

I looked up at the commotion. Of course it was Alias.

"What are you going on about now?" I watched as he stood up.He came over and sat next to me.

I looked him in the eyes. What the hell is he doing? He then whispered to me, "Why are you holding his hand?"

"Because i've known him my whole life, dumbass." He was taken aback, he looked between Zach and I and then kept his eyes on me, "Wait what?"

I explained it to him like he was a child. "Zach and I have known each other since we were kids. We were fighting, and we made up."

I watched as it clicked in his brain. "Oh. Sorry for this." he motioned between us.
He went and sat back down where he came from.

After that little commotion the timer went off.

Thank god.
