I looked up to see a man standing in front of me. He looked familiar but I couldn't put my finger on just where I had seen him.
"Wait, that's Sadie?!"
I scrutinized the features of the man I had bumped into before whispering quietly:
"Harry?"
"Holy shit, it's you!" Harry pulled me into a hug, the other man joining. If I wasn't currently with Ryan, I would have hugged back and maybe even had a conversation.
"I'm sorry, who the fuck are you guys?" Ryan asked aggressively from behind me. I let go of Harry and the familiar man, turning around and reattaching my hand to Ryan's in an attempt to get him to calm down. I could practically feel the boys' confusion.
"We're some friends of Sadie's." The unknown one explained, putting his hand out as a greeting. "I'm Tobi and this is Harry." Ryan kept his harsh glare and took one look at Tobi before muttering something racially inappropriate under his breath. Thank God I was the only one who heard him.
I remembered Tobi, although he looked slightly different. His hair had grown, and he definitely had grown a little more. Unless I'd become shorter.
"Well I'm sorry, but we're going to have to go, now." Ryan squeezed his grip on my hand, practically crushing my fingers.
"Wait, can we get Sadie's number to catch up, again? Ethan would love to see you again, and we've all missed you." Tobi said again. I squeezed my lip to make it look like I was thinking whether or not to give them my number, whereas I was in fact trying to hide the pain Ryan was dealing to my hand.
"Why don't you just come visit Ethan with us, today?" Harry suggested, not seeing Ryan's infuriated face.
"How about all of you leave my girlfriend alone, and let us carry on with our day?!" Ryan exclaimed.
"Oi, what's happening here, boys? I just asked you guys to get a fucking apple for me- not fight with random people." A ginger man now jogged up to the others.
"Yes well, Ethan, we've found Sadie." Tobi rolled his eyes.
"Ethan?" I repeated after Tobi, following his eyes to Ethan. He looked nothing like the last time I had seen Ethan. This Ethan was more ginger, had grown a beard, and lost so much weight. I would feel proud, if I could.
"Sadie?" Ethan seemed just as confused. I felt his eyes wondering over my face, picking up all of my features. I looked at the ground, not wanting him to pick up how unhealthy I was.
"Jesus Christ, Sadie, how many fucking men do you know?" Ryan rolled his eyes. "Slag." He whispered under his breath. I felt my cheeks go crimson, but said nothing.
"I'm sorry, but she's actually my sister, and these are hers and my friends. Watch who you chat shit about." Ethan responded. The ghost of a smile appeared on my face. "Sadie, come around to my flat- I have so much to share with you." Ethan turned to me and grinned.
"Sorry, no-can-do." Ryan said for me.
"Right, let's go then, Sadie." Ethan ignored Ryan. "She can text you or I'll take her back to your place tomorrow." Ethan addressed Ryan.
"Fine then.'" Ryan said through gritted teeth. "We can rearrange our plans for tomorrow." Ryan turned on his heel and walked away. I breathed out, not realising I had been holding my breath.
"Sadie." Ethan repeated. I turned around once again, and looked at Ethan. "I've missed you." He pulled me into a hug and this time, I hugged back. "You've lost a lot of weight." He commented immediately.
