I ran down the street.
Only one street away from the Tescos...
I quickened my pace, not wanting to hold up Tobi.
I saw people in my peripherals staring at me. Then again, I couldn't blame them- it's not everyday you see someone running and wearing casual clothes.
I scolded myself mentally once more for being stupid and forgetting the rice.
The rice of all things!!
I was so lost in thought I tripped over someone's foot.
"I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, and heard my voice echo in this deserted street I had entered.
I looked up and my shocked expression faded into one of fear.
Above me towered none other than Ryan.
That Ryan.
The one who had abused me for over a year.
He gave a sickly grin before holding out a hand.
"Need a hand up?" Ryan mocked my previous kind voice.
I remained still.
Ryan's somewhat kind demeanour vanished, and his facial expression turned into a scowl. He reached out and grabbed my arm, pulling me to my feet.
I winced as he squeezed my arm.
Unpleasant memories we had shared filled my head from his current actions.
Ryan looked around at the surroundings.
"Follow me." He commanded, holding my wrist and leading me.
I tried my best to not show any signs of weakness.
"Why should I." I said strongly. I was screaming on the inside.
"Oh honey." Ryan stood behind me and rested his chin on one shoulder, whilst putting both his hands around my waist. "Have you forgotten how much I could hurt you right now?" I gulped slowly.
"You wouldn't." I hissed.
I felt a sharp piece of cold metal press against my side.
My eyes flickered down to my side.
A short silver knife was pressed against it.
"Wouldn't I?" Ryan mocked. I heard the sickly grin he held as he spoke.
I closed my eyes for a moment and calmed my breathing.
"Dispose of the knife somewhere and I'll come with you." I compromised.
"Now you're in no position to be trying to make deals." Ryan reminded me, toying with the blade. "But I'm sure I could still hurt you without it."
Ryan lead me across the road, throwing the blade into a drainpipe as we walked.
I was confused as he led me into a busy street, however my confusion was quickly cut short as he proceeded to lead me into a dark, deserted alley.
He lead me to the end of the alley, before pushing my arm forcefully so that my head hit the back of the wall before my body followed.
I let out a shriek of pain before feeling cold liquid trickling down my neck. I didn't need to check to see what that was. The feeling was already too familiar.
I felt weighted, and started slipping down the wall.
Ryan grabbed my shoulder, pulled me up, and smashed my body into the brick wall behind me once more.
