She was the Holy One. He took her, though.
Death.
Death took her in so many ways.
That's how Illiana came to meet Thanatos.
Through Death.
The centre of his being.
And he'd be damned if she was taken away from him.
She was his, and he was hers.

Shards of light beat down through the blinds and onto my face.
My ocean blue eyes snapped open.
My eyelids groaned in protest as I sat up, the creamy bed sheets bunched around me.
Padding my slim feet across to hardwood floor, and into the bathroom, I had a long needed shower.
After tending to my needs, I met Charon in the kitchen.
"Morning," I stated, smiling.
"Morning, darlin', I'm taking you on a tour of the underworld, so get ready," He stated.
I smiled, "just let me have some breakfast hand I'll be ready in a second." I made myself some toast, and moaned as the flavours assaulted my taste buds.
Charon just shook his head, smirking.
I walked back into the room I was occupying and put on a flowy white dress with Greek patterns decorating the sides and edges.
I walked out towards Charon, who was waiting on the front porch.
"Let's go," I said after I reached speaking distance.
We strutted across the beach, through the gateway of Erebus' walls, and into the docks of the main beach. Charon's great ferry stood proudly among the other smaller boats.
We treaded across to the ferry, and crossed the boats bridge way. The ferry's great white sails towered over our forms, its shrouds standing proudly.
"The last time I was on this boat Tha...," I trailed off, not finishing, the acidic name still on my mouth.
I sighed. Charon patted my back, leading me to the boats wheel.
"Just sit here darlin', and I'll talk as we go along."
The boat swayed as it was released onto the river Acheron.

~2 hours later~
"Okay, to your left; the fields of punishment. The souls that go there are evil, but not evil enough to go to Tartarus."
I hummed in acknowledgment.
Creepy.
Erebus' walls went on for a couple more hours. Finally, we came across another set of docks.
