@jimintiger asked for advice on when you're allowed to leave the room, so here you go!
I don't know about your teachers, but with mine, usually if you type in the chat or say out loud that you need to leave the room to do something, they'll say yes. Just like in normal school if you asked to use the restroom or get a drink of water, they will most likely say yes.
The hard part about being at home however would be if you're in the middle of an activity or lesson, and something happens where you need to leave the room. Maybe your dog starts barking really loud, or your sister needs help with something. How would you ask a teacher if you could leave?
I think the best strategy for this kind of situation would be to use the chat, because then you're not disrupting anything by talking, and your teacher could see it. If you didn't want your entire class to see what you wrote, you could also privately chat your teacher.
I do think this is an issue that could be hard to solve in some situations. If you're in the middle of taking a quiz or test, and your mom is knocking on your door, asking you to help her with internet issues, how would you communicate the issue to your teacher? I still think using the chat would be the best solution. If your teacher tells you no, you might have to tell your mom that you need to work on class.
If something you need to do will take less than a minute, I think you could just go do it, but this can be risky, as your teacher might call on you. Only do this if you really need to.
Hope this helped! Do you have any other questions or advice about leaving the room during class? Maybe a funny story? Let me know in the comments!
