You probably already know this, but here is a reminder. When you're doing online school, don't have another device in your room.

Maybe your friend texted you, and you just had to read it. But then you get sidetracked, and you forget to listen to your teacher, and then they call on you to answer a question. What do you do then? To be honest, I have no idea. But I do know how you could have avoided the situation entirely: Don't have your phone (or other device) in the room you are doing at home learning in.

Of course, you probably need a computer, and that in itself could be distracting, but that's a problem for another chapter. You also might need a phone to take a picture of an assignment, and when you're doing that, you need to only take the picture, not do anything else.

Hopefully, you're not reading this during class. If so, please close the tab or app right now. You'll be doing yourself a favor. You can read this after class.

If you absolutely need your phone (or other device) in your room, maybe you're charging it or something, I don't know, try to put it as far away from you as possible. Out of sight, out of mind. If it's within arm's reach, you'll be more likely to grab it when you're bored. Also, put it on silent. I don't think I need to explain that.
