"It's just a race. I have this in the bag. Jirocho believes in me. I have this in the bag." Idate kept saying to himself as he got ready for the race.

It was decided that in the beginning I would keep watch for Idate and then a while after the others would join. I realized that I had thrown the plot off a lot in small ways.

"People think I'm crazy for when I talk to myself?" I asked out loud and shook my head. "Oh I see how it is."

"It's so I know I have this in the bag." Idate pointed out and stretched his legs.

"Crazy man." I said and rolled my eyes. An anime vein appeared on Idate's forehead.

"You're the one who wanted to talk about a four way marriage and a contract!" He said in frustration and stretched his legs more.

"I have no clue what you're talking about." I said and acted innocent.

"Ugh. Women. Jirocho is right, you women will never make sense." Idate said with some frustration in his voice. I just wrinkled my nose in reply.

"Don't call me a woman. That makes me feel weird. I prefer teen." I said and decided to stretch a little too.

"Woman. Woman. Woman. Wo-OW! You're not suppose to hit your client!" Idate said with an anime vein on his forehead.

"I have no clue what you're talking about." I said in an innocent voice with a smirk on my face. If I had ever gotten paid to be impossible, I would have been a millionaire. No doubt about it.

"I give up." Idate said and just kept stretching. He didn't talk anymore until the race was about to begin. As soon as somebody yelled go we were off.

We kept running and soon the others caught up to us. Sasuke was able to stay close to Idate while we were running. I kept zoning out the others when Idate turned because of the smell. Even in the woods it still smelled like tea. No wonder it was called the Land of Tea. I kept trying my best to stay focused but the smell kept pulling me out of focus.

"Mika, focus." A voice said right next to me. I jumped a little and saw Naruto running next to me. "Don't worry, the smell is pulling me out of focus too. It would be better if it was ramen though." He said with his signature goofy grin.

Naruto and I kept talking about what other smells would be great to smell too. We both agreed on ramen, tea, and happiness if it was ever a smell. We kept thinking of ideas for what other smells would be good to smell until Sasuke noticed that Idate pulled us off the same route the other competitor was going in.

"Why did we go off course?" Sasuke asked, and narrowed his eyes at Idate.

"Because I wanted to." Idate replied in a stubborn voice.

"Such a valid reason." Sasuke said sarcastically and rolled his eyes.

"Thank you, I try my best with reasons." Idate said back just as sarcastically.

Soon Sasuke and Idate started to argue about the course we were going on. I wasn't shocked since it happened in the series and it was obvious.

"We're not going the wrong way. Just shut up already." Idate said in a very annoyed voice.

"We went off the course, we have to be going the wrong way. We didn't go in the same direction as the other competitor." Sasuke said and tried to keep his cool.

"Sasuke's right on this for once." Naruto said in agreement.

"I'm right every time loser." Sasuke said coldly. Of course, just leave it to Sasuke to be mean to the one who is on his side.
