She was up, didn't know what woke her up. Her bedside alarm showed 3 a.m.
How she hated being awake for nothing. Then it hit her. The pounding in her head.
Whenever she had them, sleep was a forgotten deal.
She tried thinking where she stashed her meds and realized that she might be out. So 911 it was or she could call the building manager for her emergency stash. Migraines were demons.
As a rule she didn't keep any phones in her bedroom so kitchen it was.
The pounding increased as soon as she stood to her feet, but she pushed herself. She needed to make that call, dear God my head hurts!
Blindly searching, she found her house phone and called him. He assured her he was coming right up.
Good thing he was up when she called.
Ian woke up, going to the living room he noticed Theo sitting in the dark. As though she was gripping her head, tightly.
Which she was. Looked like her head was aching.
'Hey, he tried to be quiet but he still startled her.
'Sorry', he said when he sat next to her.
'Hang on', he went to open the door after he heard someone knock.
'Okay, thank you' ,he escorted the guy to where she was shrouded in relative darkness.
Giving her the pills, with water he waited till she drank them.
'If you don't feel better by dawn, we are going to the hospital',
'I'll be fine', she started feeling sleepy. But she couldn't fall asleep.
Ian carried her bridal style to her bedroom, put a sleeping mask over her eyes and tucked her for bed.
Within fifteen minutes she was knocked out.
Ian wanted to go back to his room but he couldn't bring himself to leave.
It was almost dawn and he really needed to sleep.
Stifling a yawn, he got comfortable on a chair in her room that was as comfy as a real bed and let sleep take over. His foolish brother better not come and wake him up.
😴😴😴😴😴
Someone was shaking him, and he was very sure it was his brother.
'Go away Matthew', he said without opening his eyes.
'No, I'm the only one awake in this house and its boring'
'Go amuse yourself elsewhere Matt',
'Come on, you agreed we would train together today!'
Now he opened his eyes and leveled his brother a look.
'Well the deal is off, incase you didn't notice Theo had a mini crisis and we were both up for a considerable amount of time this morning. Now please go away'
Sighing he left the room, but Theo was already up.
'You boys are always bickering',
'How are you feeling? Head still hurts?'
'No, feels like a cooling van in there. How did you sleep?'
'Well actually, considering I was sitting'
'That chair is totally comfy. I spend some nights there. Thank you, you didn't have to stay to watch me'
'Well I did, guess I have to go now. Take care',
He left her in her room.
Meeting Matt downstairs, he rolled his eyes when he noticed that he was on the phone talking with a low tune.
Must be Greta, sweet girl. Perfect for Matt.
He dragged himself to his room. When he booted his laptop he groaned. A mail from James equalled work.
Not opening it he sent a reply, leave me alone. It's too early.
Shortly a response came back,
'Yes, too early to deal with you. Read the mail and give me your response. HR needs it now, or you can say bye bye to your new secretary'
'I don't have a secretary'
'And you'll remain without one if you don't leave me be and address the mail sent earlier'.
Going through the said mail he saw that he needed to respond with some requirements. Like the gender, qualifications etc.
He took no time in responding which got him a thanks, say hi to Theo and ask her not to murder Jer. The car should be in her garage by evening today.
'Got ya'
He tried to get some rest but after a while he knew it was fruitless so he changed into something he could work out in and went to find his brother.
