'Listen darling, I am a Christian. Have never pretended to be anything else. I grew up in a good Christian home with the best when speaking of parents. But I live my life to the fullest. Alright? I have nothing against those that go all out for their faith.

As a matter of fact I admire them and desire to one day be like them. But I give room for rational thinking. I don't just do stuff, I think it through. Like why should I do this? Why shouldn't I do this? But I never take things to the extreme. Like heck I have no mind for them' she chuckled at the end.

Theo had gone to hang out with some girl friends at a diner, they were having their usual all round conversations till Abby called Trinity out on her lifestyle.

They were all Christian girls, but each seemed to have some sort of skeleton in their closet with Trinity in her usual way was being unapologetic about her lifestyle.

It was times like these that got her thinking what exactly she was doing with herself.

She recently started feeling empty. Like she was missing something, maybe she would call dad after all.

He seemed to have an answer to any question about God and Christian living.

'As you should. But your thinking about doing things should be based on the word of God. The bible is explicit on how we should live our lives Trin, you can't serve two masters at the same time'

'I've only ever confessed to having one master and that is Christ..'

'You are meant to be acting what you're preaching darling. You do know I love you and genuinely care for you girls. So whenever I feel a heaviness in my spirit to talk about something I will always do that'

'And we love you for it', Carey said. She was the most quiet of the lot.

'But you can't keep saying Jesus is  the Lord of your life and yet you keep living the way you want to. That doesn't sum it up,and coming from someone who made that decision to tally my life with His it's really no struggle. Just do it.

The bible tells us how He deals with lukewarm people, He spits them out of His mouth. And I can assure you that that is a terrible position to be, out of God's reach and protection. At the end of the day it's still your decision, but choose wisely. I really don't know who God wants the person's attention, but we all need to make our ways right with him.

Then of course, those things we think we can't do without for whatsoever reason, the bible admonishes that what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?

Think about that',

A heaviness could be felt in the air, Theo for one knew her lukewarm days were over. She needed to get some things straight.

And to resume her weekly meetings in church, she had been scarce at this events first by reason of work; then by choice.

Today was bible study, though Abby had given her something to  think about, she could use some more corporate fellowship.

A quick glance at her watch revealed that she had three hours to the said time for the bible study so she could hang with them or just go with Abby. Because the temptation of going home and not coming out for it was very high.

⛪⛪⛪⛪⛪

The study session had been on Christian living, with Romans chapter 12 verses 1 and 2 as the theme scriptures.

Renewal of the mind.

She really had been reminded her role as a Christian and how to first change herself before looking for how to change anything else.

Driving into her garage, she put off her car and grabbed her keys and bags before heading for the elevators.

The excitement of the day was getting to her, a dull throb was resonating in her head but she was too happy to give it much attention.

Stepping out of the elevator, she saw Dustin at her door. He looked pissed, and rightly so as she had ignored his calls all day.

More like silenced her phone after the first two calls. And now he was here.

'Hello Dustin, how are you?'

His response was to side step so she could open her door. But she had no plans of letting him in so she opened the door, dropped her bags on the table next to the door and turned to face him.

'Can I help you with something?', she crossed her arm over her chest.

'You know, you're a real piece of work. I have been trying to reach you all evening and you didn't have the courtesy to return the calls or even a message saying you were unavailable. Your name won't change if you behave in a civilised manner!'

'Well I'm sorry for that, but I haven't touched my phone since I put it on silence. And if you know me at all, coming here to rave will get you nothing. Now, I've had a long day and I need to rest. If there's nothing else you want to talk about, or shout about I'll bid you a good night',

Her frigid nature always baffled and intrigued him at the same time.

He moved to kiss her good night but she moved away from his reach, something was up and he didn't have the energy to push.

So he verbally wished her a good night to which she gave a brief smile and closed her door for the night.

So this is a long one. That scripture about lukewarmness came to my mind and I had the urge to write about it.

A lot of people would question Theo's character because of the friends with benefits stuff she has going on.

But that sort of is the point, I'm trying to build a character that even though she's not living the bible way, finds her way back to the redeemer.

Well, I'll leave you with this
