Clarke's POV
I burst through the emergency room doors practically running up to the front desk. "Lexa woods, " I say to the lady at the front desk. "Room 307, " she replies in a bored tone not looking up for the computer. But I don't care my minds focused on Lexa and what the hell happened, all I know is she was shot. I get to room 307 and take a deep breath before opening the door. When the door swings open I Lexa propped up in bed eating a container of Jell-O, with her left arm in a sling. "What the hell happened, "I say as our eyes meet. "Hey to you too, " she says sarcastically. "I'm serious Lexa, " I say walking up to the chair closest to her bed and taking a seat. "Alright.., " she began telling me the story of what happened. "How'd you get here, " I ask trying to process everything she told me. "My Uber driver found me and called an ambulance, " she said taking another bite of Jell-O. "Ok, so what do you know, how we are getting close? " I ask. "Well, that's exactly what I thought. Until I thought back....., " my mind was trying to figure it out as she spoke "Jasper Jordan, we need to look deeper into him, " she says and my mind snaps into realization. "So he really messed up then, " I say as she offers me one of her Jell-O's. As I start eating I thought appears in my head "Do they know you're are alive, " I say hoping they don't try again. "I'm not sure, but I'm going to be out of here soon and we need to get to Jasper's place asap, " she says, and just as a nurse walks through the door. "It looks like you're all good, just keep the wound clean, and use the sling until you come to get the stitches out in about 2 weeks, " the nurse says looking over the chart. "Sweet, " Lexa says getting out of bed and grabbing her clothes. "Just fill out this paperwork and you're free to go, the nurse says handing Lexa a clipboard. After about another hour and a half, we're finally on our way to the station. Let's basically demanded we go there first to get Jasper's address as fast as we can, we hope that everything is still there. They frantically race into the station searching his name up as fast as they could. After about 2 minutes of waiting, we got his address. We raced back to the car while Lexa was careful not to move her arm too much. We pulled up to his house and notice the door was slightly open. "You take the back I'll take the front, " she says while we gear up. I nod in agreement and start heading towards the back. I kick open the door, my gun out in front of me as I search the house. 'Someone was definitely here, ' I say to myself while looking around. The place was a mess, almost like someone was searching for something. Couch cushions were on the floor, drawers were yanked open, and papers were scattered all over the desk. "Clear, " I yell after searching the last room and put my gun away. A few seconds later I hear Lexa yell the same thing. "I guess we should take a look around and see if the missed anything, " I say walking up to Lexa. "Yeah you are right, " she said disappointed. "Hey don't worry, we'll find something, " I say reassuringly. "Yeah ok, I'll search the kitchen and living room, you take the bedroom and bathroom, " she says before walking off in the direction of the kitchen. I walk over to the bedroom looking anywhere I can think of, I couldn't find anything in there so I move onto the bathroom. I start rummaging through the cabinet not finding anything suspicious in there. I turn to the toilet and open up the top of it, I look down a see a ziplock bag stuffed in there. I pull it out and see a gun, a burner phone, cash, and some drugs. "Lexa, I got something, " I yell and she quickly burst through the door. She murmurs "Holy shit, " as I hold up the bag for her to see. "Told you we would find something, " I say smiling. "Yes you did, let's get this back to the station, " she says as we head outside and hop in the car.
