Chapter 1

Lexa's POV

I get down to the station and I'm immediately called into Chief Kane's office. "Good morning detective woods," he says to me as I step into his office.
"Morning sir. What's going on?" I asked with a concerned and slightly confused face. "We are getting a new transfer and since detective Anya moved away, she's you're a new partner." I hate the idea of getting a new partner. Anya and I were so close and then she left, and it hurt. But then again a new pair of eyes on this case wouldn't hurt. Kane started to speak again pulled me out of my thoughts.
"I know you don't like it, but she is a great fit for this case." "Hopefully you're right, maybe a pair of fresh eyes wouldn't be too bad. What's her name." I gave a slight smile as I said these words. "Her name is Clarke Griffin. She's originally from Arkadia but she requested to transfer here to Polis." "I've heard Arkaida is a great station. Why would she want to transfer here?" "That you'll have to ask her yourself. She should be here soon I'll send her your way after we talk." "Ok." And with that, I gave him a small nod and headed to my desk.

Clarke's POV

I can't believe that I agreed to move to Polis. I had to transfer station and leave everyone behind so Finn would propose. We've been dating for 4 years and for the last year I've been begging him to propose. He finally said he would if I moved to Polis with him, and so here I am. I'm standing outside Polis police department fiddling with my ring while trying to get myself to enter the building. I finally work up enough courage to step inside. "Hello, I'm Clarke Griffin the transfer from Arkadia, " I say as I walk up to the front desk. "oh right. I'm Harper. And If you'll follow me Chief Kane is waiting for you in his office, " she replies as she stands up motioning me to follow her. "So why'd you move here? " She asks me as we walk down the long hallway. "Because of my finacè actually. He said he'd propose to me if we moved here and I agreed." "Well congratulations, I hope you'll like it here, " she said with a smile. "Thanks and me too." I say as I smile back at her. We walked the rest of the way in silence until we got to Kane's door. She knocked and I hear a faint "Enter." Harper opened the door and we both walked in. "Clarke Giffin for you sir." Harper said to him with a smile. 'Seriously does the girl never stop smiling, ' I thought to my self.
"Thank you, Harper. You're dismissed, " and with that, she walked out of the room. My eyes moved around Cheif Kane's office and saw how plain it was. He had blue walls with dark grey trim, light decor. He just had a tv on the back of the walk and in front of that a modern black desk. "Good morning Detective Griffin. How are you doing today?" he asked with a smile. "Good morning to you as well. And in doing just fine thanks for asking." I said with a slight smile. " Alright well, we are assigning you to the Infinity Case your new partner Lexa woods has already been working this case for a while, so she'll fill you in." he said and I gave him a curious look. "Why is it called the Infinity Case?" I asked with a curious tone. "At every crime scene or at a bank robbery, we always find an Infinity symbol that's been left there. And on all the drugs distributed by them also have an infinity symbol." He says moving around to the other side of the desk towards the door. "Interesting, " I say with an intrigued face, following his movement towards the door with my eyes. "I'll let detective woods fill you in the rest. Now if you'll follow me I'll take you to go meet her." he says heading out the door and I quickly follow him.
