Chapter 10

Clarke's POV

"Finn no, I'm not in the mood, " I say stopping his hand from rubbing up and down my thigh. "Oh come on, we haven't done anything since we moved, " he says looking at me with pleading eyes. "I'm sorry you've bee to busy with work, and I almost got blown up less than 24 hours ago, " I reply as the anger rises in my voice. "But I took the day off for this," he says almost begging me. "You took the day off just to have sex, instead of being with your fiancé who almost died yesterday, "I say standing up and moving to the room to and pulled out a bag. "What are you doing?" He asked in a soft tone following me. "I can't be with you right now, I'm going back up to Arkadia for a few days, " I say picking up my clothes. "Clarke you don't have to do that, " he says putting his hand on mine to stop me. "Obviously I do if you think taking a day off work is just to have sex," I say shaking his handoff and placing the final objects in my bag. "When will you be back, " he asks giving up in stopping me. "I don't know Finn, I'll text you I guess, " and with that, I leave the house and call a cab. While waiting for the cab I call the person I want to hear from most right now. "Hello, " I hear on the other end of the line "Hey Raven..." I say trying not to break out into sobs. "Clarkie, what's wrong?" she says in a sad voice. "Mind if I come to stay the night with you, and then I can explain everything when I get there."
"Of course not but it an 12 hours drive, " she starts but I give her a small "Duh" then she counties on. "Right, just give me a time and I'll pick you up then, " and with that, she hangs up. The silence of the cab was all too overwhelming, it left room for thoughts and that's not what I wanted at the moment. Thankfully by the time I had enough, we pulled up to the airport. " 1 Round ticket to Arkadia please, " I say walking up to the front desk. "We have an open seat on the flight that leaves in an hour. When would you like to return?" she asks looking up from her computer. "Monday, " I say pulling out my wallet and handing her my card. "All set, " she says after scanning me my card and handing me my ticket. "Thanks, " I mumble before walking off towards my gate. The plane arrives right on time and before I board I send a quick text to Chief Kane I need a personal day on Monday. After about 2 hours of flying, I run out of the airport and jump into Ravens' arms. "I missed you, " I say as I bury my head in the crook of her neck. "I missed you too, let me get your bag, " she demands, breaking out of the hug and putting my bag in the trunk. After a few minutes sitting in comfortable silence, raven breaks it. "So what made you fly all the way out here last minute?" she began. "Finn, he's been acting off lately, we got into a fight and it's almost like he wanted me out of the house, " I ranted pulling out my phone to check if he had texted me. "He's cheating on you," she interjected. "That's what I thought, but I confronted him and he promised me it was just work, and guess what he hasn't even asked if I'm ok," I add trying to keep my cool. "That bitch, good thing I'll be living over there soon so I can come to beat his ass," she mentioned. "What?" I ask not keeping my excitement contained. "Yeah, The Polis station is starting this new program and requested I join, " she bragged but I didn't care my best friend would be close again. "That amazing, I'm so proud of you," I squeal doing a happy dance in my seat. "I know, " she joked pulling up to her house. "How about we go get you settled in," she suggested getting out of the car. After a quick shower and a change of clothes, I called my mom. "Hey mom, I'm in town," I tell her hoping she doesn't ask too many questions. "You better be coming to see me," she insisted. "Don't worry I will, I was just going to ask if I can come to stay with you till I leave on Monday, " I reassure her. "Yeah, of course, is everything ok? Do you have a place to stay tonight?" She asks sounding very concerned. "Well I don't know it's complicated, I'll tell you all about it tomorrow. And yes I'm with Raven tonight," I reply with a stammered breath hoping she doesn't ask any more questions. "Ok I love you, see you tomorrow," she answered knowing I don't want to talk about it right now. "Love you too," I sighed and then hung up. "Got any booze," I ask trotting down the stairs. "He'll yeah Griff, what kind of drunk are we getting tonight," she questioned grabbing some alcohol out of the cabinet. "How about till we puke or guts out," I respond taking my place on the couch. "Sound the my kind of night," she exclaimed handing me a shot. "Bottoms up," we laughed out, and Raven started to pour me another, and that's the last thing I remember before the next morning.
