This was a very foolish idea, I should've let her take care of Lorenzo her own way. Although I have to admit, seeing her not wanting to break someone nose or anything was more likeable than when she does want to break your nose. Not that she's not hot when she's serious, this side of her is just more... Her.

The sauce of the burger running out from the hook of her lips. Those full kissable lips of hers that hold nothing back, I wanted to feel against mine. Her not having all the ladylike things made me stare at her in wonder before I reached over to her face. "You got a little something love," I said as she held still, her skin under my thumb felt like electricity jolting through me, giving me joy but mostly need.

Wiping the sauce from her face, bringing my thumb close to me before liking it off. Her eyes stared at me as if I was crazy for doing that. "What?" I asked with a raised brow. She eyed me as she finished her burger, eating some fries. "Nothing. I'm just thinking" she replied, her eyes somewhere else. "About?" She glanced at me before smiling. This felt normal. Like really normal.

It was like she was my girl - looking overall good - and the way she smiles at me made me feel like she was only smiling because of me. I've last had someone look at me and smile when I was sixteen. Seeing this now when I'm twenty-eight, it's a whole lot different. Especially when she is the one smiling at me. "You really want to know?" I heard her asking. Finding her amazing emerald eyes again, there it was, the light-catching it perfects to make her eyes shine. "Yeah. A woman like you sharing her thoughts would always help in the future" I stated, folding my hands on the table.

The fries were getting cold, but our burgers were done. Her laughter was the most beautiful I've ever heard in my life. "I was thinking about Lorenzo" she stated truthfully, her face falling into sadness, then she looked away again. Staring off at the tents in the distance. Why I felt like to kick Lorenzo's ass when she was sad over him shouldn't have bothered me a bit, yet it did. It bothered me so bad that my body burned with anger for him.

"Let's try not to think about it" I paused looking at one of the tents before standing up and hold my hand to her. Her eyes slowly meeting with mine "What?" I asked she was really hard to understand. "Do you trust me?" I asked instead, the smirk on my lips having its way with me. "Not actually, but I guess for tonight I'll say yes" she replied before taking my hand. The shot of electricity shooting through me once more. It was odd, though I loved it.

Pulling her to her feet and pull her to the one tent when a large group of people left. Tugging her inside as a man in a funny-looking outfit and had stood on the wooden stage. He was busy with his cane before looking at us. "I'm sorry the shows over for the night. Come back tomorrow night if you'd like to see" he said, he was not disrespectful but he didn't look in the mood for us right now. "Wait here," I told Jamie before walking over to the man.

"I'm sorry to bother you, sir. You see, my girl has been having a really bad day and I'm trying to cheer her up" I said, pretending that we are a couple. "I'm sorry sir but the show is over" he stated, pulling off his gloves. "I'll pay you. I'm sure $2000 will be enough to just do it one more time?" Pulling out my wallet as I talked. Getting out twenty hundred dollars. Holding it to him. He looked at me with a smile before taking the money. "Give me a moment to prepare my crew" he stated before leaving.

I went back to Jamie who was looking around, her hands behind her back. "Hey," she said when I stopped in front of her. "I guess it's late for another show" her voice almost sad. "No, he's preparing. We should take a seat" I said, taking her to a spot where the view is great to the stage. Then everything went black.

Jamie was close against me before the light went back on, the man in the spotlight, raising his head slowly towards us. "Deep down in a forest, a child was born. This child not only human but a half-animal. He is dangerous and ballistic. No one who came across him ever lived to tell the tale of him. Ladies and gents, I give you, Nightcrawler" he said before another light went on to show a man. His face full of hair and his body also covered. His back was bend as if he was old. His eyes red but you could see the brown colour. His lips not touching to show his pointy teeth as he breathed heavy and fast. His hands were really large and his nails long.

This was really an image of half-man, half-animal. The Nightcrawler shook his head before starting to take a slow step forward. The man with the hat pulling out a long whip. Striking it in front of the beast-man to prevent him from moving. "Stay there Crawler" he ordered. The beast-man took a step back. His breathing heavy and loud. Some of his saliva dripping from his lips. Just before the beast-man attacked, the man presenting the whole thing shot the beast-man with a tranquillizer. He fell on the soft snores coming from him. It was amazing when the beast-man didn't make a sound when he got shot.

The one light died as the man looked at us again, Jamie hinging on his words, her eyes wide with curiosity, her smile wanting more and her hand on my tight giving away her excitement. "Enjoyed it? Maybe you have heard about our new addition?" The smirk on his face clearly satisfied and aiming straight for Jamie. "Maybe you would like to join us on stage my lady?" He asked. She looked at me before standing up and going on stage. No matter how bad I wanted her to stay next to me, I let her go-to for she was not mine to give permission to do otherwise.

On stage the men held her hand in his, leading her to a spot on the stage before letting her go. "Now, close your eyes and think of someplace you'd love to be," he said to her. She did what he said, the way her smile grew when she thought of the place was a sight to relive again and again. "Good. The place your thinking about will have a girl in, long hair, bright eyes. Dancing with shining things around her body, am I right?" He asked calmly. "Yes," she answered with a smile. Then soft clicking of dancing clothes with coins on them could be heard. "Open your eyes dear," he said to Jamie, holding his hand to her.

She opened her eyes, take his hand as he pulled her closer. "The girl you saw, did she look like this?" He asked pointing to another girl that came out from backstage, showing everything that he described of her and so much more. She had a lot of piercings on her nose and ears, her clothes were a two-piece that made her look like an Indian girl who was about to dance. "Yes!" Jamie said surprised and place a hand over her mouth. She was clearly loving this mystical world.

"(Italian)Wow that was magnificent!" She exclaimed before looking at me. I knew what she said but when she looked at me as if to thank me for doing what I did. "Thank you," he said with a bow and lift his hat. Jamie came over to me and smiled brightly in the process. "Thank you," I said to the man with the hat, nodding to him. He nodded back before Jamie and I took our leave.

She was beaming with joy and was really a sight for sore eyes, not just because she was this beautiful, but because she was smiling. Passing by one tent that has a couple in them with a strange lady and cards, predicting something of their future. Jamie caught me looking at them. "Into things of the future?" She asked, not looking so impressed with the thought. "No... Yes... I don't know. I guess there is a part of me that would want to have a little taste of what my future will be like?" I stated shrugging her off. "And it won't hurt to see. I mean what could possibly go wrong?" The look in her eyes of joy was gone. She was stone cold all of a sudden.

"Come on Jamie. You said you've never been to a carnival, enjoying what it has to offers is mostly rewarding" I started taking her wrist and pull her to the tent before she could even think of denying it. The lady had all sorts of materials and jewellery on her. Her hands and arms covered with tattoos. "Good even loved ones. Would you like to see how your relationship will be like?" She asked in a low voice, sending a chill down my spine. This lady was really creepy.

"We're not even close to being friends" Jamie blurted out next to me. The temptation of losing my cool tugged hard on me, instead, I pinched the bridge of my sore nose and inhale a deep breath. "You are impossible to work with Jamie" I stated with a more serious look than this whole time. "Fine. I'll stop being impossible, because I know I'm more than possible in order to do anything" she stated folding her arms under her breasts, lifting them to show more in the process.

"Jamie," I said taking her arm gently before pulling her closer. Sitting her down on the chair opposite of the fortune teller. "Just do it for the fun," I said and sit next to her on a chair.

The way Jamie tensed up when the lady asked for her hand and read he palm was making it clear she didn't like this. The lady's eyes came to me and ask for my opinion of what I thought of Jamie.
Instantly I was speechless and in need of words. "I- I- I think Jamie is a very... Fine woman" is all I could think of.

The woman nodded before taking out a deck of cards. Spreading them face down over the table. "Roberto, I don't like this" Jamie said to me before standing up. I grabbed her wrist gently, pulling her back into the seat. "It's just a card, Jamie. They don't hurt" I comfort her, or at least try to.
