Take Me There

Chapter 47

Everyone stands behind Rick.
-
"How many walkers have you killed?" Rick asks Max.
-
"I don't know. A lot." He says.

"How many people?" Rick asks him.
-
"Five." He answers. The boy; Max, glances back at me, then back at Rick.

"Why?" Rick asks, looking at him.

"They were all bit, they asked me to. Well, four of them were. The other one was trying to kill me." He says.

"Alright. You, listen to our rules. You'll sleep in a cell, by yourself. Don't look at any of us wrong. Try anything and I will kill you." Rick says. "Understand?" Rick asks Max. He nods. "Yes, I understand." He say.

"You okay?" Rick asks, turning around to me. I nod. "Yeah, I'm fine." I reply.

"Carl, I need you to help me with something." He says. Carl nods. "Taylor, will you help Max get to his cell, and show him around?" Rick asks me.

"Yeah, of course." I say.
-
"Taylor, my dad got the showers ready." Carl tells me.
-
I smile. "Good! I can finally take a shower." I say.
-
He lightly smiles at me. "When you are done, you can shower. I got you some strawberry shampoo and body wash." Carl tells me.

I laugh. "Awe. You're to sweet." I say, smiling. He laughs and walks away with his dad. Everyone starts walking back to the prison. Max stands there, staring at the ground. I look at him.-

"Come on. Ill show you around and introduce you to everyone." I say with a light smile. He looks up and nods. I start walking and he follows close behind. I get a pain in my stomach again, from the baby kicking. It hurts worse that I thought. "Fuck." I say, and stop.

Max stops and looks at me. "Are you alright?" Max asks me.

"Yeah. He has jus- I mean it's just been kicking a whole lot today." I say.

"Oh." He says, and stares at my bulging belly.

"Stop looking at it." I say and start walking again. He runs up beside me.
