Chapter 44

Carol slides my underwear down. "Michonne hand me the gloves that we grabbed." She says to michonne. She puts the gloves on. She looks around and sees how much I am dilated. "Taylor, you're not going to have that baby yet. Your not dilated at all. There is no chance for you to even get the baby out." She tells me, taking the gloves off. "I'll go get you some pain killers, and some baby medicines for it. You have to try to get through the pain. Alright?" She says. I nod, holding back tears.

"I'll be right back." She tells me.

I slightly nod again. Carl goes to where Carol just was. He puts my underwear back on for me. He puts my jeans onto my legs. "Come on. Ill help you up." Carl tells me. He helps me up, pulling my jeans fully on.

Michonne leaves the cell. "Carl, I-I'm scared." I said, looking up at him.

"Why are you scared?" Carl asks me, looking down at me.

"The pain is horrible right now and I'm not even in labour." I say.

"So, what are you saying?" He asks me.

"W-what if I die giving birth?" I ask him.

He pulls me in and hugs me. "Don't think about that. It's not going to happen. You'll be fine." Carl told me, kissing the top of my head.

I hug him, tightly. "I love you Carl." I say to him. "I love you too." He tells me.

Carol walks back in. "Okay, take 2 of these pain killers, 1 of these baby medicines for the baby." She says, taking the pills out of the bottle. She hands me them. I take them with water.

Another huge pain comes. Carl helps me onto the bed. Carl grabs my left hand and Carol grabs my right. The pain finally passes 2 minutes later.

*30 minutes later*

I haven't had a pain for about a half hour.
-
I stand up. "What're you doing?" Carl asks me.

"I'm going to go take a walk." I tell Carl.
