chapter 3: Secrets

Y/n woke up the next day, immediately remembering about the conversation Harry and her had last night.

"He is literally more stupid than dad told me." Y/n thought to herself. She got out of bed and put on a hoodie and sweatpants. It was one of those days where she didn't want to even get out of bed nor try to impress anyone with her looks. She walked down to the Great hall still half asleep just to be greeted by Draco.

" Good morning beautiful" Draco greeted.

" Hey, Draco" Y/n giggled while a tint of red crossed her cheeks. Harry looked up from his book to see Draco putting his hand in y/n's.

" That bitc-" Harry said, but shortly got cut off by Hermione saying " Harry! Language.".

Draco and y/n sat down next down to each other and just laughed. Y/n did NOT like Draco, but he did make her happy when she was upset, and he was the only person she had at the moment.

" Hey y/n, do you maybe wanna chill with me after our classes?" Draco asked.

" Of course!" y/n said then hugged him. At this point, Harry was mad jealous, like so jealous that he was going to storm over to the Slytherin table and push Malfoy off her and if it wasn't for Ron, he would've already punched him. 

" Harry you can't worry about it, shes a lost cause." Hermione protested while reading her book.

" She isn't a lost cause Hermione, she just got sorted into a house we aren't necessarily fond of." Harry argued.

Hermione just looked at him in pure disgust and started eating breakfast.

***TIME SKIP***

" I'm gonna take you to where I live, my mother is always talking about how much she misses you," Draco said, grabbing y/n's hand and running with her.

Once they got to the Malfoy Manner, they were immediately greeted by Lucius and Narcissa. " Y/n! Oh, it's so good to see you again, we have missed you so much. Please have a seat." Narcissa greeted.

Y/n and Draco took a seat across from Narcissa and Lucius. "So y/n... Once your mother died, your father asked me if he were to pass if Narcissa and I could take the responsibility of being your Godparents, and we agreed to the statement." Lucius mentioned.

Draco looked at y/n in surprise then immediately hugging her. " Wait so you're saying, if my dad dies too, you guys will be my parents?" Y/n asked.

" Exactly love. You are okay with that, right?" Narcissa questioned.

" Of course! You guys have been there for me since I was a baby." Y/n responded.

" Then it's settled, but you two should get back to school, we don't want Albus looking for you," Lucius said, leading them to the door.

Y/n gave them both a hug and said " Thank you guys." before leaving.

When Draco and Y/n got back to Hogwarts Draco suggested " Y/N you should try out for the quidditch team! I know you would be amazing at it.".

" Then what are we waiting for?" Y/n said while running off to the quidditch field. Once they got there, Marcus the team caption introduced himself.

" My name is Marcus Flint, I am the team captain for the Slytherin house, and you are?" Marcus asked.

"Oh, I'm y/n Riddle... New student," Y/n answered.

" Oh I know you, Draco always talks about you," Marcus said then Draco punched him in the chest.

"Let's see how good you are, shall we?" Marcus laughed.

Marcus gave y/n a broom and opened up the box with everything.

"So there are four positions in quidditch. They are the chaser, seeker, beater, and keeper. There are 3 chasers per team, and their job is to control the quaffle and attempt to get it through the goal hoops past the keeper. The goal of the seeker is to catch the golden snitch. They play a crucial role in quidditch, as a game does not end until the seeker catches the snitch. Beaters attempt to hit the opposing team's players with bludgers and attempt to block the bludgers from hitting their team's players. Beaters are subject to the same knockout procedure as chasers or keepers when hit with a bludger, but unlike chasers and keepers, they may attempt to catch a bludger thrown at them. There is one keeper per team, and it is their job to guard the three goalposts attempting to stop the other team's chasers from scoring, got it?" Marcus explained.

" Got it." Y/n smiled.

" So we will 1v1 and ill determine which position you will be best in. Let's start, Draco unleash the snitch first." Marcus orders.

And with that, the snitch started going. Y/n immediately went after it's soon as she saw it. It only took y/n 5 minutes to find the snitch and grab it. She went back down to the ground while Marcus had a face of not only defeat but surprise.

" Wow... I don't think we even need to try the others out. You could be the best seeker in history! So y/n, I officially welcome you to the Slytherin quidditch team! I'll gather the team at 4 pm for you to meet." Marcus announced.

Draco immediately gave y/n a huge hug then dragged her into the halls of Hogwarts.

" I knew you could do it! We must go and tell everyone!" Draco said.

Before she could respond she was already inside where everyone else was.

" Well, everyone... You can officially call y/n the seeker for the Slytherin quidditch team!" Draco yelled for everyone to hear.

Everybody clapped and congratulated y/n except for 3 people... Ron, Harry, and Hermione. Y/n saw Harry not clapping then her smile faded as she remembered that Harry is a seeker for the Gryffindor team.

" Well isn't this just great," Ron whispered to Harry.

" It can't be that bad...
