"This is where the fun begins!" Anakin Skywalker exclaimed over the comm to his master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. "I hate flying," the older Jedi grumbled, glaring out the window of his cockpit. The two Jedi whizzed

In the droid slot beside me, R2-D2, my astrometric droid, beeped a warning. A vulture droid swept out from behind the nearest Republic ship, swerving straight into our path and opening fire. "Don't worry R2," I mumbled, switching on the targeting system. "I got him."

All it took was a round of fire and a barrel roll, and the vulture droid was no more. Satisfied, I glanced at the dark planet of Coruscant below, traced with glowing lines created by the infinite city that covered its surface.

"Anakin! I've located Grievous' ship! Straight ahead!" It was Obi-Wan.

Sure enough, one big bulldozer of a ship sat ahead of us. Our mission? Run in, rescue the trapped Chancellor, and attempt to capture Grievous on the way out. If we succeeded in capturing the metal monster, the three year war could end. It could finally be over.

"Alright," I said, boosted with a newfound confidence. "I'm going- Gah!" Pain suddenly shot through my body, and an uncomfortable shiver ran up my spine. The living Force rattled around me, then momentarily went silent before slamming back into me like a brick wall.

What in the Force was that?!

It was almost as if someone had yanked on my connection to the Force. It had felt strange, and very, very, uncomfortable. I looked over at Obi-Wan just as his starfighter ducked out of the way of that of a separatist's.

"Did you feel that?" I asked, an uncanny sense of unease tingling in the back of my mind.

"Yes," Obi-Wan confirmed. "It was very strange, almost like some sort of disturbance. I wonder if-" He paused as the world around us seemed to ripple.

"Obi-Wan, what's-"

I didn't get to finish, because everything suddenly swayed violently, then turned to black.
