Dr. Connors is still trying to process what he just witnessed.

"If you're a mutant there isn't much I can offer you in terms of explanation."

"I'm not a mutant. Your experiment was a success."

"What?"

"The spider. It gave me spider abilities when it bit me."

"Do you have it?"

"No, it escaped, and it's going to die from the radiation anyway. It told me."

"It.....told you?"

"Long story, I promise I'll fill in those details later."

"So..can you produce webbing?"

"No, not yet. Only half of the power is with me right now. The rest will come to me when it finally dies. I need something to fill in the gap until then."

"I guess I don't understand why you would need something immediately."

"I want to use these powers to help people. I'm going to be a superhero."

"Peter, you're just a kid. You don't know the first thing about these powers of yours. You'll get yourself killed. As an adult it's my duty to steer you on the right path. My son is younger than you, so I can't in good faith participate in this."

"I wasn't going to do it overnight. I need the right tools. You can help me figure out my limits, and how i can improve my powers."

"You actually thought this through. I suppose I can help you with that. As for the web I don't know how I can provide assistance."

"I've been thinking of a small device on my wrists that can shoot it out."

"Well I'd imagine that you'd run out rather quickly."

"There would be cartledges like bullets in a revolver I can swap out. I think swinging from them like Tarzan is the right way to go"

"Then we'd have to adjust to the strength of the material and your own weight."

"Yeah I will definitely get to that. We should consider the design of the device first and foremost. I don't want it to hinder me mid battle."

"So about the rest of your abilities. There is an experimental room we use to test out new tech. We can use the leftovers to find out just how far your powers go."

Curt leads Peter to the room and there are giant cinder blocks for him to test his strength. Peter punches it and it makes a hole straight through it.

Curt: "Not bad. Try lifting."

Peter lifts several stacked ones with ease.

Curt: "Hmm, we'll see if you can find something heavier for you to try in the near future."

Next comes an agility test where discs are launched at him like it was a shot put. Peter dodges the first few but he fails on the rest.

Peter: "I'm not used to being overwhelmed like that."

Curt: "You're going to have to get used to it if you're serious about this."

Peter: "I know, but this is going to be harder than I thought."

The final test of the day experiments on his wall resistance. A giant mechanical apparatus with two pincers that moves around with wheels tries to pry Peter from a wall he is currently stuck to. No matter what it does Peter does not budge. He still does feel pain when the machine tries to pull him off though. The machine pulls so hard it knocks itself over and breaks.
