A few weeks have passed and Peter has finally gotten a good handle on his swinging thanks to his encounter with Beetle. It's getting late and he's about to call it a night, but his eyes catch a suspicious group of men going to an ATM on a quiet street in town. He watches from above the buildings and one has a crowbar that is trying to crack it open.

Peter jumps down and shoots a web into the back of someone's legs and yanks them to the floor. The others turn around.

"I'm not late for the human garbage meeting am I?"

The one with a crowbar swings at Peter, but he blocks it and punches him to the floor. Another tries to tackle Peter but he jumps up and kangaroo kicks him to knock him out. Only one remains, and Peter's spider sense flares up. He hears a click, and turns around to see the man pointing a gun at him. Peter freezes up like a deer in headlights, but not for the reason one might think. It's not because he has a fear of guns, but because he remembers that it's how Uncle Ben died, and he has no idea how to fight people with guns just yet. He snaps out of his trance mere milliseconds before the first bullet is fired. He runs around but his thoughts are so disorganized he's panicking. One bullet nearly grazes him and he hides behind a car. His heart is racing to the point where his vision is blurring. The remaining thug is reloading his gun and Peter starts to calm down. He jumps over the car and has one hand still on the door. The thug is about to fire and Peter shoots a web line into his chest and yanks him down to knock him out. Before he hits the floor he fires a bullet that barely misses Peter's feet. He panics again and slaps himself.

"Oh come on Peter! You barely dodged laser blasts last time, why does a bullet have you so bothered? You know you were going to fight guys with guns eventually!"

Peter tries to walk away but something is wrong. He's stuck in place. The hand he put on the car door is still stuck to it. He tries several times to pull it off. He even puts a foot on it tio try to pry himself loose, and he does get loose...with the car door tearing off and hitting Peter square in the head, nearly knocking him out.

"Even fate is bullying me!"

A man runs over to him furiously.

"What the hell did you just do to my car?"

Peter steps back, and only now does his sticking power wear off on the car door.

"Well you see, they had a gun and-"

Peter just swings away. And hurries back home. He takes his mask off and sees a red mark on his forehead.

"That's going to be a pain in the neck to explain away."

Peter crashes in his bed, and the scene transitions to a new location. This is a flashback taking place four days ago. The sea border of Mexico to be more exact. A bloody civil war has erupted in the fictional South American Republic of Delvadia. The fascist government is losing its grip against the socialist insurrectionist rebels. Strangely, the head of the rebels has vanished, leaving the second in command at the helm. A boat that has been traveling from Delvadia has now made it to Cuba. The people here speak perfect English as missionaries frequently visited as an attempt to quell the hatred from both sides. It's late at night and it's stormy. Nobody can see more than 10 feet in front of them.

Man 1: "We finally made it to Cuba."

Man 2: "To think that we nearly lost our lives due to war."

Man 1: "Both sides can burn in hell for all I care."

Man 3: "The government were greedy pigs."

Man 2: "Those rebels are el diablo, I'm telling you."

Man 3: "Especially their boss."
