Indoctrination: Training
"Father!" Percy called, teleporting him, Leo, and Thalia into the throne room. "We have two new recruits."
"Excellent." Tartarus stepped out of the shadows, showing himself to the three. "Powerful demigods. They shall make great generals. How loyal are they?"
"It's The loyalty to the others has already been taken. Summon Lord Chaos, tell him to restore my loyalty to them only. All there is for them is loyalty to me and anger against the others."
"No need for that, my son. Chaos gave me that power last time he came. Are you prepared for loyalty to come back to you?"
Percy only nodded and watched as sea green magic flowed from his pendant, entering his chest. He fell to the ground in pain as his emotions changed.
He turned back to look at his two friends, smiling slightly. "Thalia? Leo?"
The two only nodded, and they all hugged. Percy smiled at them. "Finally realized how terrible the gods are?"
"Oh we realized the moment you were banished!" Thalia exclaimed. "Like, come on. You saved them more times than I can count!"
"Honestly, we were ready to join you from the moment we learned there was war. We just had to wait until you were taking offers," Leo chimed in.
Percy laughed. "Okay, okay. But seriously. Now that you are finally able to use your powers, we need to train you. If you can master them in here, you'll be unstoppable out there."
"What do you mean 'finally able to use our powers'?" Leo asked.
"Well, now that you aren't a hero, you wont need to worry about hurting anyone. Just wreak as much havoc as you want."
Thalia grinned wickedly. "Who's going first?"
"Go ahead, Pinecone Face."
Thalia laughed at the nickname it felt like she hadn't heard in years, and walked forward. She let go of her fears, trying to get a feel for her powers in hell.
Electricity ran through her bones as she felt herself crookedly smile. Magic made her fingers tingle as she figured what to do.
Lightning rained down, bright blue light filling Tartarus. Percy walked forward, unafraid of the lighting.
"Zeus can block that, you know. Stop trying to creating lightning, that's his domain," Percy instructed.
"Then what am I supposed to do?"
"You're in hell, Thalia. You won't be a hero anymore, you're the villain. Use that to your advantage. Focus your anger."
Thalia nodded and Percy took a step back. Thalia thought of how Luke had died, how Annabeth had betrayed Percy. How Hazel had died. How her father didn't care.
This time, lightning didn't come out from her fingertips, electricity did. Dark red electricity that flew through the air, breaking and shaking the ground.
Percy smirked and walked forward. "Perfectly done. Just remember that anger next time you see them. They won't stand a chance."
Leo went next, walking to the same place Thalia was as the other two walked away. He focused on what Percy had told Thalia.
He focused on the anger as well. Annabeth let Hazel die, just like that. Frank wasn't there for her. They had betrayed Percy.
Flames didn't come shooting from his hand, not this time. Instead, it was a powerful blast of heat, and every monster within a twenty foot radius had turned to dust.
Percy walked out, slow clapping. "Well done, Leo. With the two of you, the gods don't stand a chance. I believe we deserve a mission, don't you?"
"Where are we going?" Thalia asked.
Percy snapped his fingers, and the three of them traveled to the underworld, weapons in hand. They walked right to the palace, not caring.
Cloaks had magically appeared on them as they walked into the palace, concealing their identities.
Hades was furious at the intruders, as was Persephone as she sat near him. Hades glared, "who are you?"
"Angel to some. Demon to others," Percy said, smirking.
"What are you doing here, and who are you?" Hades growled again.
Percy only smiled, hand gripping harder on his sword as he whispered just loud enough for Hades to hear him. "And here I thought you'd recognize me, uncle."
