Trepidation: a feeling of fear or agitation about something that may happen.

Percy didn't need to watch Camp Half Blood to know what was happening, he had a pretty good idea. With the power to inflict fear in someone, he had taken care of Nico Di Angelo. That boy would never be a bother again.

The gods had flashed Nico to camp, not checking in on him and letting the others find him. He was the last child of the big three left at camp, and soon he would be useless.

"Nico?"

It was Travis Stoll, staring at Nico. Nico blinked slowly, looking around until he realized what was happening.

"G—get away from me!" Nico yelled, scrambling away. "Where am I? Who are you? Why do you want me dead?"

"Nico? It's me, you know me," Travis said. "I'm Travis, we're friends. What did Percy do to you? Where's Will?"

"Will! Not will! Will hates me! He wants me dead. He wants me dead. He wants me dead. I don't want to be dead!" Nico was hysterical.

Travis looked around until he spotted a kid from the Hypnosis cabin walking hand and hand with a Hecate camper. "Hey! Hey, you two! Can you come here for a second?"

"A second!" Nico cried. "Not a second! It's too quick! It's too quick!"

"Please hurry," Travis said. When the two campers made it, he gestured to Nico. "I don't know what happened to him but we need to figure it out. Do either of you have a way to put him to sleep?"

The two campers nodded and the Hecate camper pulled out a bag with blue and purple dust. She turned to Travis, handing him the pouch. "This will put him to sleep for a few hours. You should be able to handle it from there. Just a sprinkle is needed, too much and he'll go into a coma."

Travis only nodded, sprinkling the dust over Nico and picking him up. Carrying him on his back the way you would a brother, he made his way to the big house.

Ananbeth and Piper met him there, Chiron watching over Nico as he slept. Piper tilted his head, confused by the fact that it was only Travis. "Where's Connor?"

"Oh, he—he joined Percy. Left when some of the hunters left, didn't leave more than a note," Travis said. He brushed over that fact quickly and moved on. "Nevermind about that, let's continue. Do you know what happened to Nico? Will's not here and I don't know what to do."

"Let's go see what he's like now that he's slept. We can figure it out after that," Annabeth said, walking into the big house.

Nico was not better because he had slept. He was shaking and crying in the corner, screaming about Chiron being scary.

Annabeth moved to talk to him but Travis put his arm up to stop her. "Don't. It will scare him more. I have an idea."

Travis walked forward, sprinkling the tiniest bit of dust he could, making Nico tried. He yawned looking up, still scared but with less energy.

"Okay Nico, I want you to tell Chiron everything you remember. Can you do that?" Travis asked slowly. Nico nodded, his dark eyes still darting around.

"Where are you going?" Annabeth asked.

"I have to go talk to someone. I'll be back."

Travis made it to the edge of the woods, opening a note and throwing it to the ground. All he had to do was wait.

"You called?" It was a smug voice, one that knew what was going on. Percy Jackson never seemed to be that smug, but then again, was he really even Percy anymore?

"What did you do to Nico?" Travis asked. "He's scared of everything, it has your name all over it. What did you do?"

"I did something?" Percy laughed. "No no no, this can all be traced back to you. This is your fault, you betrayed me. You and everyone else here. You know when I was down there, before I became everything I am now, I kept thinking "what did I do? What could I have done that made them think I was a monster?" I was afraid of myself, it's only fair that I make Nico afraid of you."

"That—that's horrible. Why would you do that? I know it's bad in here, but what happened down there that changed you that much? You got betrayed, that was terrible. But why do you want us dead?"

"You got betrayed? That's what happened to me? That's what you thought happened to me?" Percy leaned in, whispering. "You don't know shit about what happened to me."

Percy turned to leave, a whole opening up in the ground. Before he could go, Travis yelled something out. "Wait!"

"What?" Percy whirled around.

"How's my brother?"

Percy laughed. "He's not your brother anymore, Travis. He might've been once, but he isn't anymore. You lost him the same way you lost me. You sided with the gods. In the end, that will be your fatal flaw."

Percy turned to leave, but he turned around for one last thing. "Oh, and I wouldn't come looking for him. You might not like what you find."
