The first week was smooth. Jimin attended his classes, talked to a few random people here and there, fully aware that they really just wanted to fit him in some box already. He really enjoyed messing with everyone.

"I just can't figure you out dude" a classmate said after engaging in a half hour long conversation.

"Too bad" he smiled and bid him good bye as he headed to his next period.

After a few days of gossip, Jimin had become the talk of the school. Nobody wanted to close their bets in fear of losing and Jimin wasn't making it easy for them either. He was never consistent with his actions, and then over the week he gained a lot of popularity to add on to it.

He was getting quite bored of the act though, if anything, Jimin was just a loner. He would love for people to stop giving him so much attention and actually befriend him to get to know him.

"Hey, Jimin right?" a feminine voice said from the table behind him.

"Yeah" he replied, not bothering to turn around.

"Do you wanna hang out later today? I don't know, grab a coffee after school" she said and he looked over at her.

"I'm sorry, I can't after school, I have work. Maybe another day?" he apologized and she shook her head with a smile.

"It's totally fine, another day yeah" she said and stayed silent for the rest of the class.

Does Jimin want to date anyone right now? Not in particular. The girl was cute and also sounded nice enough so he might give it a shot, but he wasn't particularly interested in anyone just yet. He thinks senior year relationships are problematic because they might influence someone's entire future for stupid decisions like going to the same college, or unplanned pregnancies.

After school he went back home and changed from his uniform before heading to work. The first few days at the convenience store were fine, he was just being trained and showed where everything was and how to do things around. Today, he was on cashier duty, a task he didn't enjoy but didn't hate either. At least he didn't need to lift or move anything.

"Hello young man, how was your day?" a middle aged lady asked as she put her items on the counter. He smiled and started scanning the stuff "Pretty good, what about yours?" They made small talk then he finally handed her a bag full of her purchases before she left.

"Kid, how is it going?" the boss asked, leaning on the back of Jimin's chair.

"So far so good, a lot of customers today. Where's Tae?"

Jimin had gotten a lot closer to the boss after the first week. He had learned that his boss also owned the store and ran it with his son Taehyung, the guy he was yelling at when Jimin first walked in for the job. Tae was his friend now and that made his experience a lot easier.

"That dumbass got detention again." his father said and he chuckled.

"What did he do this time?" Jimin asked as he noticed nobody was coming in.

"I don't even know, you guys go to the same high school, can you make sure he behaves? He's just too much for me to deal with by myself" The father chuckled and he smiled.

"He's a year younger so I don't see him much, but I'll keep an eye on him when I can" Jimin promised, and right about then, a new customer entered.

"I'll leave you to it" his boss announced before walking to his office.

Jimin was on his phone, waiting for the person to come up to the counter. He opened instagram and found that a few people from school had started following his account, amongst which was the girl who talked to him in class. He clicked on her profile and saw her latest pictures.
