She rushed into the school. Keep your head down, don't make eye contact, and don't talk to anyone. But of course, she just had to run into someone, and what makes it worse, is that it was a boy. For her, the rules are to NEVER walk into or bump into a boy. Especially at high school, and especially if you are a new student. Startled, she dropped her books. Turns out that running into a boy on your first day of school and dropping your books, is a HUGE mistake, especially if it's a cute boy.

"Here," he said bending over to pick up her books, "let me help you."

"No, it's fine," she said, bending over to pick them up before him. They both came up at the same time and hit their heads. "Ow," she said, rubbing her head.

"I am so sorry I didn't mean to do that," he apologized, rubbing his own head. His stupid, good-looking head.

"Yeah," she mumbled, "and I didn't mean to do this." She slammed her shoulder into him as she walked past him. His face flashed with hurt as she turned to walk away. Good.

Jani walked down the winding halls until I reached my homeroom class. She walked in and sat in the back corner so she wouldn't get called on or even looked at. Soon the teacher walked in.

"We have a new student today," she said. Jani sunk in her chair. "Janie, can you please come to the front and introduce yourself?"

Jani sunk further down, "I'll pass."

"Janie? Please come to the front of the room and introduce yourself."

"You're saying my name wrong."

"Then please tell me how to say your name."

"It's pronounced Hani, not Janie."

A few people snickered. Jani gave them her best death glare and they stopped laughing, except for one kid. She directed her glare at him and he sank down into his chair.

"Well, Jani, can you please come to the front of the room and say a few things about yourself?"

"Ugh, fine," Jani got up, making the loudest screeching noise she could with her chair. She made the teacher cringe by doing that.  Mission accomplished. Once she was at the front of the room she said, "I hate it when people touch me, talk to me, make eye contact with me, and even look at me." Most of the class looked away from her. Jani smirked and went back to her seat. She propped her feet on top of her desk and popped a piece of gum in her mouth. Once everyone was accounted for, the bell rang, and Jani slung her black backpack over her shoulder and walked out. But a wall of soft fabric blocked her from leaving the room and she slammed into it not seeing it. She fell over and dropped her backpack which was open and her sketches got scattered across the floor. She groaned and started picking them up. She looked up and it turned out that the wall of fabric was the same person that she ran into earlier.

"I'm sorry I thought everyone was already out," he apologized, holding his hand to help Jani up.

Jani ignored his hand and stood up by herself. Then he noticed that he just walked into the same person that he walked into in the hall.

He let out a little laugh and said, "I just keep knocking you off your feet, don't I?"

"Haha, very funny but not true at all now can I leave? You're still blocking the doorway."

"Oh, yeah. Sure, sorry," he said turning a light shade of pink. "But one question? I will be quick, I promise."

"No thank you I don't do conversations or questions and I need to get to class."

"You don't seem like someone who would go to class."

"Yeah, you're right. That was so you would let me leave. I need to get away from you because I don't want to talk to you at all."

"Wait. Can you just tell me your name? I'm Seth."

"I'm-" Jani got cut off by the principal calling her name. Well not her name, what everyone thinks is her name.

"Janie, I would like to talk to you," the principal said.

"My name is Jani, not Janie," she mumbled.

"I was told that you have an attitude."

"And I was told that-" Jani got cut off when nausea took over her body. She stumbled over to a chair and sat down, with her head in between her knees. Taking in several breaths to make it go away but nothing worked. Then something took over her body and her head snapped up, her eyes glowing a pale blue, like blue flames.

The principal let out a shrill scream and ran out of the room, struggling with her heels. Jani's head fell back down. She started gasping for air, as Seth watched in horror.
