Matthew's POV

I pulled up in my car, and I parked right next to the Feder's. I then heard a familiar voice yelling.

Adam: Saint Nick!

It was Adam Mackenzie, my best friend. He calls me Saint Nick because of my Birthday. He was with his girlfriend Alice. I wonder when they are gonna get married?

Matthew: Adam Mackenzie and Alice Hilliard. How have you two been?

Alice: Fairly good. My dad got married. Again

Matthew: Older or younger?

Alice: Haha! She is probably the Oldest yet.

Matthew: Oof.

Alice's dad Rob has always had a tendency of dating and marrying women two three times older than himself. Alice never liked it as it was creepy, but since there's nothing any of us can do about it we jus laugh it off. Adam's mom came over to talk to Mrs. Feder. If you're wondering where Max is he is still in the car as he gets motion sickness So, he took some sleep aids. I'll wake him in a bit.

Deanne: Hi, Roxanne. I don't know if you remember me. I was at your wedding. I was the one that was table dancing all night. Deanne McKenzie.

Me, Adam, and Alice, laugh at the memory as Adam was petrified at the time. Also, Mr. Mackenzie was throwing ones on her while she was dancing. At the time we didn't know why, but now we do.

Roxanne: Of course. Deanne, hello. Hi, good to see you. Oh, my God, you're glowing. You look so beautiful with your pregnancy.

Deanne: What the hell are you talking about?

I hide my laugh and so do the others as Mrs. Feder actually believed that Deanne wasn't pregnant. Then Mrs. Mackenzie started laughing.

Deanne: I'm just playing. Oh, my God. You should see your face. You were like, "Huh?"

Then Roxanne went over to talk to Adam's Grandma, and then Greg's phone went off and Keithie started to dance? I think, to the music. Me and Adam shared a look of what is wrong with these kids.

Lenny: Didn't I tell you to turn the phone off there, Greg?

Greg: Yeah, but it's my massage therapist.

Lenny: What? No, no. No cell phones.

Marcus: No cell phones? Then I'm out of here.

Lenny: Higgie.

Marcus Higgins showed up and behind him was Hannah. She saw me and ran like she just busted out of prison.

Hannah: Matthew!!!!

She jumps into me and I just hug her as she hugs back.

Matthew: Well someone really missed me.

Hannah: Obviously. You were gone for a year, and now Adam and Alice are gone. It will just be me this year.

Matthew: Okay, well if you have any problems call me and I'll be here as soon as possible. Okay

She just nods.

Hannah: Oh, we all got together to watch the few appearances you made on those cop shows.

Adam: yeah, you did great! Although you were too believable as the killer on criminal minds.

Matthew: I'll plead the 5th on why that was.

We all then laugh at the joke. Then we heard Marcus's conversation.

Marcus: That's not a nanny, is it?

Lenny: No, no, this is a friend of ours from China.

Marcus: Oh, yeah. No, I've been on that website.

Hannah cringes and I just give her a reassuring side hug.

Lenny: No, no, no. Like an exchange student that... My wife brought her into the house.

Marcus: Oh, your wife's into chicks. Oh, that's nice. Hollywood. See, he always lucks out.

I then noticed a Cadillac show up. In the car was y family and Curly my dog. I run up and just pet Curly as he licks me.

Eric: Hey, now.

Lenny: Lamonsoff. Rolling up in a Caddy?

Eric: That's how we do it.

Lenny: And you, you've grown up on me, man. Are you a B-cup now?

Eric: Hey, nice ears. You get the NFL package on those?

Kurt: Nice Caddy. You sell lawn furniture and crack?

Eric: Come on, I'm the co-owner of Branchville Lawn Furniture, man. I'm the boss now, baby.

Lenny: Oh, good for you, Eric.

Kurt: Glad you brought your mother.

Eric: Oh, that's a good one. It's like shaking hands with an Eagle.

Matthew: Hi, dad.

Eric: Matthew. Bring it here.

I then hug my dad from outside the car.

Eric: I'm proud of you son. Lenny told me you got a major role in a new movie.

Matthew: Yeah, and I can't say anything about it yet. Donna, Bean you two are getting so big! I didn't even recognize you two.

Donna reached out to give me a hug, but Bean was hesitant s to who I was. I didn't blame him he was only four and I left home when he was barely three. I then said high to Sally to let them drive to a parking spot. I then turn around and see Rob, Alice's dad.

Mathew: Alice what died on your dad's head?

The other's laugh including Kurt, Lenny, and Marcus.

Marcus: Oh, my God. It's Captain Caring of the SS Melodrama. Oh, he's gonna play this one big.

Rob: Hey.

I zoned out the parents and the four of us talked in private.

Adam: So, where's Max?

Matthew: In  the Feder's car. He took some sleep aids.

Adam: Okay, and why isn't he here with us? Let's go wake him up.

Matthew: Okay, but first I need to tell you guys something.

As I said this they all looked grossed out. I turned round and wish I didn't. Rob was making out with Ben Franklin's grandma. I turned around/

Matthew: Okay, I want to get hit in the head and develop amnesia. Anyway, Max has developed a bit of a bad character.

Alice: What do you mean?

Matthew: He hits on and if possible sleeps with anything with boobs.

Hannah looked concerned. Me and Adam noticed as we put our hands on her shoulders reassuringly and Alice gave her a hug. We knew she was afraid of being hit on as summer was her only escape from it.

Matthew: Don't worry Alice will protect you. Just like in school, we will all be here for you. Also, Adam, Alice, you should know, he doesn't care about relationships. I've seen him hit on multiple married woman and get on the receiving end of a knuckle sandwich.

They all looked at each other. I remember this look from when we played board games as kids. We were going to work together.

Hannah: Well, is he still protective of his family?

Matthew: Yeah, why?

Alice: We'll just call him a brother, bro, and stuff like that.

Adam: If they only see him as a brother...

Everyone: Then he won't move on them.

Matthew: That will actually work.

We went and woke him up. Alice and Hannah said that seeing him was like seeing a brother that went missing. He immediately frowned, and at that moment I knew he knew he had no chance. We all hugged and went in the church. We all sat together behind our parents.
