Dear Fleur,
You're the only reason
I don't look like a clown in makeup!Because you're the one that sat me down early in the semester
and showed me in person what YouTube had tried its hardest
to teach me.(And, according to my old pictures from Stella's early stages,
I really sucked at it!)You taught me the difference in brushes and how important it was to clean them.
You taught me about the differing results of foundation applied with a sponge or brush.
You taught me about all the types of foundation from powder to mousse.Introduced me to drugstore brands that were just as good
as the pricey Ulta products. You walked me through lip liner and color corrector.
The right way to fill and shape brows best suited to my face shape.
Fleur, you taught me everything about how to be a girl.
No, a woman, as you put it.And you, sweet Fleur,
made sure I never relied on makeup to make me feel feminine.
Because makeup isn't just for girls.
You took away the fear of masculinity snapping me back up on the days where I was bare faced. You didn't just make
makeup fun, Fleur.
You made makeup
safe and secure.
Just like you.I realized on that day just how sweet people could be.
Oh, how our kind can be full
of such wonderful surprises!
And I loved everyone
you ever gifted me.Especially him.
