Dear Kai,
I like to think
that I'm a pretty logical person.
However, I'm still Chinese.
Meaning that superstition
will always be in the back of my mind no matter what.
After meeting my mother,
I'm sure you understand why I have secret credulous beliefs.
So when you continued to remain a constant in my life, I wondered what Fate had in store for me now. After that night at the frat house
we never said another word
to each other. We were like parallel lines for the remaining of our Sophomore year and going into our Junior years.
Same majors
always have the same classes.
That's just the way it is.
So we ran in the same circles.
Sat in on the same lectures.
Embarked on the same internships.
Worked in the same jobs. But like parallel lines never do, intersect we did not.
Until one day.
Just one day,
where our paths finally converged.🍎
