Harley's POV

It's Peter's graduation day, and all of us are flying out to meet him at MIT.

He and Wade have an apartment together, and we're meeting there first to get ready, before going with Wade to watch Peter graduate as valedictorian (!!)

I couldn't be prouder of my brother, and I haven't been able to stop smiling all plane ride. MJ has told me multiple times to stop, because she said, and I quote, 'You look like a serial killer had a baby with a clown. Now stop, I think you made someone start crying.' Eloquent as always.

MJ and I went to the same college, and Ned just got back from his year abroad.

Morgan is going into 9th grade, and very excited to start driving.

Wade works as a tattoo artist. (Who knew he could draw? According to Peter, he's very good.)

"Hey, nerd. We're here." MJ nudges me, and we grab our bags and make our way slowly off the plane and towards the gate where we'll meet Wade.

Wade and I aren't besties, but we've gotten closer since he threw me into lockers.

He's not that bad, actually. Weird sense of humor, but he's good.

MJ snorts, and points to where Wade was standing, wearing a chauffeur hat and carrying a sign that is nearly unreadable, but I'm pretty sure it says 'Nerds' in rainbow glitter.

(MJ enjoys Wade's humor. It's similar to her own.)

"Wade!" MJ calls, high-fiving him.

"How's it going?" Wade asks, grinning wide. "Like the sign?"

"Super nice." I give him a dry smile.

"I knew you would like it!" Wade fist pumps, and leads us to his hand-me-down car.

Peter's POV

I nervously twist my robes.

I have to make a speech.

Me! I can barely answer the door! I hate public speaking.

Not as much as Harley, but still!

"Peter Rogers-Stark, you ready?" My engineering professor walks over to me. "It's time."

"Do I have to?" I ask.

"Peter, you graduated top of your class. I'm sure you'll do great." She encourages.

"Thanks,"

"Now go!" She gives me a light shove towards the stage door, and smiles.

I open the door, and walk on stage, blinded by the bright lights.

Cheers arise from the front row, where my family and friends sit.

I wave at them, before stepping onto the podium.

"Hi. My name is Peter. I was told to prepare a speech, but if you know me well, you know I don't do well writing speeches, and I don't do public speaking." I laugh nervously into the mic, and the audience laughs too.

"I should probably tell you about how I studied well, and stayed in school, but that's mainstream, and who needs that?" I take a deep breath. "Instead, I'm going to tell you about the time my friends and I ditched school, and why. It was summer, and who can be expected to stay inside on a day like that..."

***

"Peter!" Harley runs over to me and wraps me in a hug, followed by Ned and MJ.

"Guys! I missed you!" I cry.

"Your speech was brilliant!" MJ cheers. "Your boyfriend loved it."

"Where is he anyways?"

"We're not allowed to tell." Ned says, and winks. MJ elbows him, but the effect is ruined by the grin on her face.

"What is it?"

"He's taking you out to a nice dinner, and he's going to ask you to marry him." Harley blurts out, before clapping a hand over his mouth. "I shouldn't have said that." He says a moment later, his voice muffled.

"He's going to what?"

"Harley!" MJ accuses.

"He's going to propose!" Ned gushes.

"He- really?" I ask.

"Yes!" All three of them chorus.

"What are you going to say?" Harley asks, before looking behind me, and wincing.

"Well I-" I start, before turning around to see Wade standing behind me, smiling softly.

"I would say yes."
