"Harley! Peter! Get up! First day of school!" My pops call into our room.
(Yes, Harley and I share a room. We like it. Get over it)
(We have bunk beds. That's how cool we are)
(Plus Morgan gets her own room, so we have to share. But we also like it)
"Noooo," My twin groans from the top bunk. We rock paper scissored it when we got the bunk beds. I lost. Sorely.
"Harley, it's the first day of school," Pops scolds. I sit up, minding the bed four feet above me. I roll out of bed, and onto the floor.
The other reason I got the bottom bunk, was because I was such a messy sleeper as a kid I would roll off the bed. Harley still teases me about it. It's embarrassing, especially going into junior year.
Harley reluctantly jumps down from the top bunk, his bare feet hitting our soft carpet. (I won the carpet battle. I wanted a shag rug since I was falling out of bed so often) (Yep, still embarrassing)
"I call the bathroom first," I say, standing up from the floor. I grab the clothes I laid next to my bed and race out of the room, Harley behind me. I skid to a stop in the bathroom and slam the door on Harley's face. "Ha! I win!" I taunt. Harley groans.
"Hey, you always take a long time, it's only fair I get the bathroom first," I reply, taking my pj shirt off, and getting dressed for school. I brush my teeth, and run a comb through my hair, before unlocking the door.
"Har, I'm done," I call.
"Peter, Harley, it's six-thirty in the morning. Morgan is still sleeping, and I would rather we don't wake her." I nod and walk into the kitchen while trying to get my shoes on. Pops is standing behind the counter, cooking something. I sit down in one of the chairs and fully get my old sneakers on. Harley walks in five minutes later.
"See, I said that he takes a while," I say, pointing at my brother while deadpanning at my pops.
"Both of you are particularly annoying to get up in the morning," Pops replies, a twinkle in his blue eyes.
"Heyyyy," Harley and I whine at the same time. Steve smirks at us.
"Okay, boys, did you get breakfast?" Dad walks over to us. We nod. "Do you have your stuff." We nod again. "Pencils? Your friendship bracelets?" We glare at Tony, who cracks a smile. He spins the car keys around his finger and motions for us to follow him to the car. "The Dad-Xpress is leaving in t-minus 2 minutes." Harley and I groan, and Harley grabs each of us a piece of toast, and I gather our backpacks. We reach the door with a minute to spare.
"Bye Morgan. Happy first day." Harley whispers softly. I ruffle my twin's light brown hair and hand him his backpack. He hands me my toast, and together we walk out the door and towards the driveway.
"Shotgun!" Harley yells and runs and hits the passenger side door. I reluctantly get in the back seat.
"I hate you," I grumble as Tony pulls out of the driveway.
"Love you too, bro." Harley smiles. Tony laughs and we make our way to school.
Ya know I was considering adding on, then I realized... there's no school at all. I can update whenever I feel like! (cus online school doesn't start till the seventh in my district)
so I'll probably update on Sunday or whatnot. I also didn't realize that today was Friday, I thought it was Thursday and that's how cooped up I've been.
I'm really liking how this story is going, and I actually have a plan, unlike my first book so that's good.
I really hope you like this book, and it's not just one of those types where the first book was really good and the sequel is crappy. so please if you could just tell every stony fan you know that there's a really good highschool au they could read, with a hopefully even better sequel that'd be lovely.
have a good rest of your days!!!
XOXO Valkyrie
