Ava's POV.
Hayley and I said our goodbyes to the resort, the resort staff, put oour suitcases in the rental car and drove to the airport. Before we started to drive, Hayley got her Grow Up beanie and put it on her head. After that, we set off for the airport. I drove, and when we arrived, I could tell Hayley was visabally tired. After security, waiting for the plane to board, and sitting down, Hayley went to sleep right away, leaning on my shoulder. A few minutes later, I drifted off to sleep, and leaned on Hayley's head. A few hours later, I wake up, and I could see the moon from my plane window. It didn't look any different than seeing it from ground level, but it still looked cool. I saw Hayley wake up, and look at me. Those hazel eyes are still my weakness, and I smiled at her. She noticed the moon as well, and thought it was cool as well.
"The plane will be landing in about 20 minutes"
Hayley and I let out a sigh of relif, because we both felt we've been on this plane forever. After 20 minutes, we strech, and get off the plane, slowly, because we've been on the plane for about 13 hours. When we arrive, we search for Hayley's BMW, and when we get inside, there was barley any gas left in the car.
"We have to go to the nearest gas station, this car isn't going to make it back" Hayley said.
We drove and played sirus XM, because Hayley loves sirus XM. She had one hand on the wheel, and held my hand with the other. It took us about 10 minutes to find the nearest gas station, and we finally found one. Seven Eleven. We got gas, and we parked the car to go get snacks. Hayley wanted Twix, and I wanted to slushie, all of the sudden I hear someone smash the door, breaking the glass.
"No body move!" A guy with a ski mask ordered, and pointed a gun. He had another friend, which had a lighter.
My heart beats fast. I didn't move. But I was very worried about Hayley. I slowly and sneakily moved to the middle of the gas station, and I saw Hayley, in the candy aisle. I sighed in relif. She's okay. Out of the corner of my eye, I get pushed down by the man with a gun, and pointed the gun at me.
"I said nobody move!" He shouted.
Right now and then, I thought I was gonna die. The man with the lighter went outside, expecting the police to come. When the man left, Hayley got closer and closer, and stood up. I stood up as well. The man turned around, and Hayley pushed me out of the way.
Then I hear a gun shot. I see blood everywhere. The man ran out screaming "holy shit! Get out of here Kale, run!"
"Hayley!" I shouted in pure sadness, noticing she's on the floor.
I hear her gasping for air, holding her chest. I ran to her side, putting pressure on her wound, to help the bleeding stop.
"Why did you do that! Why?" I shouted.
"I..I love...you." Hayley said. "From the moment...the moment I laid eyes on you. I felt something."
"Stay with me baby! Stay with me!" I said, crying my eyes out.
Hayley wiped my tears away.
"You must promise me now. You must live after...after this. You have so many things.." Hayley said, coughing. "So many things to explore. Promise me you'll live on. Do it..do it for me."
I kept crying. "Hayley, don't think this! Ambulances are on the way...You're gonna make it, okay? Okay!"
Hayley laughed, and then started crying. "We will see each other again. Never le...let go of that theory. We..are meant to be. I know it."
She started losing conscious.
"I won't let go of that theory, I promise you. I love you." I replied.
"I know...know you do now." Hayley said.
I started crying heavily. Hayley took off her grow up beanie, and placed it on my head.
"The heart goes on," Hayley said. "Babe.. you loo...look so...s....cool..."
Hayley wiped my tears again once more, and I leaned in to kiss her. I lightly laid on top of her, and I stroked her face with my hand. I felt her breathing decrease, and I started crying. She smiled at me, and then closed her eyes. I checked her pulse, and nothing was beating. I knew. The paramedics came in the station, and I got off Hayley, still crying hysterically. The paramedics checked her pulse, but I already knew the answer.
Hayley's dead.
