Ava's POV

I woke up with the sun in my face from not shutting the linds yesterday night, and I wake up to move around, but get up quietly so I don't wake up Hayley. When I push myself up, and major buring sensation came across my wrist. I try not to make any noises or indications that I'm in pain, because like I said before, I don't wanna wake Hayley up. I make my way into the kitchen, and I get a jumpscare, but a nice one from Hayley, who was behind me. She than put her arms around my waist.

"Good morning." She said with a sniffle.

Something in Hayley's voice wasn't right. She's upset, and I know if for sure.

"Hayley... Are you okay?" I asked.

"Not really.. Ava, I need to talk to you. We need to talk, please." Hayley asked with the sad tone still in her voice.

Fear ran through my whole body. What could it be about? We walked into the living room, and we sat on the floor, in between the sofa and small TV. Hayley takes a deep breath, and reaches for her pocket. She pulls out my blade, and she looks at me with a concerned, sad look on her face.

"Hayley I-" I tried to say before I got cut off.

"Ava, I found this on the floor yesterday night, please be honest with me. Tell me why? I mean, if your comfortable with telling me why.." Hayley said.

"Hayley, I'm.. I'm so sorry. I didn't tell you, and I should have. I haven't done it in 10 years. Until yesterday, I'm so sorry."

Hayley started tearing up, and I had to look away. I decided to add on and tell her why, since realtionships need trust.

"Hayley, there was this girl at the bakery. She called me these awful names and she's the reason why I have that bruise"

Hayley gets up off the floor and stands up, and wipes the developing tears from her eyes.

"Why didn't you tell me while this was happening baby?" She asked me, and had an angry tone. "I care about you so much, and I don't like seeing people I care about the most doing that to themselves. Where is she? I would like to talk with her as soon as I can."

"She's...she's strong, tall, I don't wanna risk you getting hurt. I mean, I don't even know her name. She just decided to pick on me and trigger me." I said.

"That's why I'm coming with you, so I can set this girl straight. No one messes with you like that, you mean the world to me, and I can't let you do this, I care about you, ya know! There's not a day that goes by when I don't think of you, and it's amazing how you make me feel. So in return, I'm finding this motherfucker, so matter how strong and tall she is, and keeping her away from you, okay?"

I've never seen Hayley this mad, and it kinda turns me on. But on a serious note, Hayley claims she is going with me to work no matter what, and I can't talk her out of it. In the mean time, Hayley and I talk about random things, from oranges to football, which is a common thing we do, and I love it. A few minutes later, I have to get ready for work and get into my uniform, and I walk into the bathroom to get changed and I take off my shirt, and I realized that I left the top part of my uniform outside, and I thought maybe if I run and wing it, Hayley won't see how bad my wirst is. When I decide to run, I fall. Smart. I fall right on the floor, and Hayley rushed over to my side. She gasps, and I'm guessing she saw my wrist. I noticed when she helped me get up, she only held my left land, not my right, where my scars are.

"Baby" She said, and now I can see tears full-on streaming down her face.

"I'm so sorry." I said.

Out of the blue, Hayley takes my wirst and kissed it all over, leading it into a kiss. When she pulled back, I pulled her in, making the session very passionate. When we were done, I got into the bathroom and changed and walked out. I noticed Hayley come up to me with a serious face and pulled up her own sleeve. She handed me my blade back, but took my hand quickly after.

Then she told me this,

"If you wanna cut yourself, then you are going to take my arm," she said while putting the blade, still in my hand and hers on her wrist, "Look me in the eyes, and cut me as many times as you would yourself."

I quickly got the blade off Hayley's arm, and threw it across the room.

"Hayley, you know I couldn't hurt you like that." I said, concerned.

She grinned at me.

Then I understood everything.
