Chapter 38

Lisa tied her hair into a ponytail. She fixes her clothes and sighs. She staring at her phone wondering why Jungkook didn't spam her with his calls and texts like before this. 

She becomes worried but she shakes it off.

He loves to hurt me. It useless if I'm worried about him...

Lisa let out a heavy sigh and packs her things. She went out of her room and ready to go to work.

After a few minutes, she arrives at her workplace. Lisa puts her bag on the counter.

"Lisa, today we have a lot of new books. So, make sure you replace it with the old one." The manager says.

"Yes, Mrs." Lisa bowed.

She rushes to the storeroom and found the new box. She picks it up and brings it out. Lisa doing her works and replace all the old book with a new book. 

She hummin a random song to distract herself from thinking about something else such as Jungkook. But she felt her phone vibrating.

She doesn't want to use her phone during work but it keeps vibrating. She takes it out and her eyes widen saw who's text her.

Can we meet? - Jungkook

Lisa felt her heart beating so fast. She doesn't know what should she replied. Then, a message from him come again.

Please...I have been trying to find you this whole time... - Jungkook 

Lisa feels guilty. She wants to visit him but she is scared if he did something unnecessary. She let out a sigh and put her phone back in the pocket. She didn't reply but she just saw it.

It was her break time. She takes fresh air and let it out. She walks instead of using a cab. She looks around and it so beautiful. 

Then, she saw a couple feeding each other. Lisa smiles dropped after that. She looks down and thinking. Finally, she gave up. She finds a cafe and buys some food.

After a few minutes of waiting, she went out. She lifted the food and staring at it. 

Seriously? What the hell am I doing?

Lisa groans and finds a cab.

She pays the driver and went out. She takes a deep breath and let it out. She walks to the door and hesitated to knocks. 

Okay. You can do this.

She knocks on the door. There's no response. She rings the bell but still no response. She furrows her eyebrows. Jungkook always opens the door instead of her.

She twisted the knob and surprisingly, it opens. 

"He's doesn't lock the door!!??" Lisa mutters.

She opens the door and her eyes widen. The house is messy. All things scattered on the grounds. It's was hard to describe this scene.

Lisa takes careful steps and tries not to step on something sharp. 

What is happening?

Lisa looks around. It was just like, she left this house for a few years. Well, she just leaves for a few weeks. Maybe also a month.

"Jungkook?" Lisa calls.

No response.

Lisa becomes panic. What if someone came and robbed this house without his notice? She put away the foods.

"Jungkook!!!!" Lisa yells.

She runs upstairs and opens their shared bedroom. 

"Jungkook!? Where are you!!!!???" Lisa yells.

Her eyes widen. Jungkook lay on the bed, sleeping so peacefully. Lisa let out a relieved sigh. She walks slowly to him and kneels. She staring at his face.

"You scared me, Kookie." Lisa sigh.

She leans her hands to touches his cheeks and startled that it was hot. She notices that his swollen and his dry tears also. His messy hair, dirty clothes, and unmanaged.

Lisa looking at him.

Jungkook groaning as he wants to wake up. He opens his slowly and felt something cold on his forehead. He touches it and it was a towel.

Who puts this???

He sits up and notices that the room is cleaned. What he remembers is, he become crazy just now and destroyed everything around him. He gets out of bed and went downstairs.

He smells something delicious and he becomes more curious. He walks towards the kitchen slowly and a figure standing there, preparing the dishes.

That figure turns around and his eyes widen. There she is. The face that Jungkook really wanted to see this whole time.

"Done!!" Lisa claps her hands.

Soon he heard her voice, he already knows this is not a dream. Lisa lifted her gaze and found a frozen Jungkook.

"Oh. You already awake." Lisa says.

Without wasting his time, Jungkook rushes to her. He hugs her tightly and cried as much as he wants.

"You're back. You finally back." Jungkook cried.

Lisa just stands there. 

"Please, don't leave me again. I begging you." Jungkook pleaded.

Lisa holds his shoulder and pushes him slowly. She looks away from him.

"Let's just eat. You have a fever. " Lisa says.

Jungkook was confused by her act. Lisa smiles weakly and told him to take a seat. Jungkook just follows her orders.

Lisa waits for him to finish. After a few minutes, he finishes. Lisa went to him and holds his hands.

"Let's clean you up." Lisa says.

Jungkook sitting on the bed after finish his showering. Lisa dry her hair. She hasn't said anything or tells him why she's here.

Lisa helps him to wear his shirts after told him to wear his underpants and sweatpants by himself.

"You should take a rest. I will go to take your medicine." Lisa turn round and about to walks.

Before she could walk, Jungkook hugs her waist. Lisa was astonished by his act. Jungkook tightens his grips and does not let her go.

"Please, don't leave me." Jungkook whispered.

"J-Jungkook. I have to take your medicine and get back to my workplace." Lisa says.

"Don't leave, please. I know I'm wrong. I know I'm such a bad boyfriend. I hit you, I hurt you, I just like...like a monster. I couldn't help it. When you're not here, it driving me crazy. I can't control myself." Jungkook let it out.

Lisa feels her heart sank. But, she have to be strong for awhile. She wants to calm herself down first.

"Just let me go, Kook." Lisa says.

Jungkook shakes his head. Lisa sigh heavily and push his hands. Jungkook heart broke when she pushes his hands and went out just like that.

She then come back. She told him to eat the medicine and drinks. 

"Lay down." Lisa says. 

Jungkook lay down and she cover him with blanket. She sits on the ground and holds Jungkook hands.

"I'll wait for you to sleep." Lisa says but not looking in his eyes.

I know there's a soft spot in your heart for me, princess...

Jungkook smiles softly and closes his eyes.
