Taehyung showed up in his classroom, his weekend had consisted of nothing more than just sitting at home. Normally he would visit a museum or art exhibition but camp had knocked him out, literally.
"Goodmorning Tae- Jesus what happened to you?" Namjoon had peeked his head in Taehyung's classroom before class. However instead of seeing his usual well rested friend he came face to face with a walking zombie. "Camp." Taehyung groaned. Camp was never easy, but it was even harder if the only other teacher present is an incompetent one. "Oh... uhm... Well I came to remind you that we have a meeting later today so ehm... I'll see you there?"
"...A meeting?"
"Yes, all the homeroom teachers." Taehyung groaned again, he'd have to see Jungkook's stupid face again.
-
"Homeroom teachers of class 2, how did camp of the second years go?" The principal looked up at them. "The children really enjoyed it." Jungkook smiled however the principal just kept staring at Taehyung. "Taehyung, how'd it go?" Jungkook frowned at the fact that the principal didn't take his word and wanted Taehyung's instead. "As my partner said, the children were enjoying their time there. They worked well together and as far as I could see there was no bullying going on." This answer did satisfy the principal, so he scribbled it down.
"Homeroom teacher of class 3, how did it go?" Namjoon perked up, answering the question thoroughly. Jungkook bit the inside of his cheek, he still had a lot to learn.
-
"Taehyung." Jungkook ran after Taehyung when the meeting was over. "What is it Jeon?"
"It's Jungkook." Taehyung rolled his eyes at him continuing to walk until he reached his car. "What I'm trying to say is... I think we really started off on the wrong foot, can we restart?" Taehyung scoffed, slamming his trunk shut after he put his bag in. "Restart? This is the adult world, there is no restart."
"We need to get along... For the students."
"As long as you do your job correctly we don't have to get along at all." Taehyung opened the door to his car but Jungkook slammed it shut again, holding his hand on top of it. "I want to go home."
"I want us to get along." Jungkook grabbed onto Taehyung's shoulders. "Just please, have a drink with me."
"No."
"Taehyung." Jungkook put on puppy dog eyes, looking at Taehyung with his big doe eyes. "Just one."
"Ugh... Fine."
-
The waitress put two cups of tea down in front of the two men. "Thank you." Jungkook smiled before looking over at Taehyung. "Sooo... Hi, I'm Jungkook Jeon."
"What are you doing?"
"Restarting."
"I'm not doing that." Taehyung rested his head on his hand. "Okay well..... Why did you become a teacher?"
"Followed in my dad's footsteps." Taehyung muttered, taking a sip of his tea. "Ooohhh, family tradition huh? I became one because of one of my old teachers... Wanted to become that person to someone else."
"And how did that turn out?"
"...Well, on this school... not that great. However at the previous school I worked at it went great." An awkward silence filled between the both of them. "...This is not going like I planned...."
"What did you plan?"
"Oh you know, a casual and comfortable conversation... Us finding out we have more in common then we thought..." Jungkook fumbled with his jacket, avoiding Taehyung's judgemental gaze. "What are your thoughts on homosexuality... you know... In case one of the students is..." Jungkook was very subtly trying to figure out Taehyung's sexuality to see if he even had a chance. "Are you assuming I'm homophobic?"
"What? No! I- I'm just wondering what a more expierenced homeroom teacher would handle that situation!" Taehyung narrowed his eyes at Jungkook. "The children are 14, they won't be coming out anytime soon."
"How would you know when children come out?" Jungkook tried, maybe he would let something slip. "Society forces them to hide for as long as they can."
"What if they're forced out?"
"Why are we talking about this?" Taehyung pulled up his lip in annoyance. "...Okay we'll change the subject... Cologne or perfume?"
"What?" Jungkook mentally cursed, Seokjin's trick didn't work. "...Peach or eggplant?"
"....I'm going to go." Taehyung said, laying down some money on the table to pay for his tea. "W-wait! I still don't know much about you!"
"Let's keep it that way Jeon." Taehyung slipped back in his jacket and walked out. "Fuck." Jungkook breathed out.
-
"You are really bad at this." Hoseok laughed, looking amused at the grumpy Jungkook. "I couldn't think of anything to talk about!" He whined, falling back on Hoseok's couch.
"...So homosexuality was your go to?" Hoseok shook his head in disappointment. "You could've just told a story to warm up." Hoseok said. Jungkook grunted, that would have been smart.
"Why are you so desperate to get along with him anyway?"
"He's my colleague... my co homeroom teacher.... And... AND. Hobi he is so fucking attractive" He let out a big sigh. Hoseok snorted, not being able to contain his laughter. "Okay, well you have to show me that eye candy soon then. I want to see if you have taste."
"Hobi you don't like men."
"I can judge someone's beauty without being attracted to them Jungkook." Jungkook pouted before he got an idea. "We have a career night soon! How about you talk about being a hairdresser! Then you can see him."
"Deal."
