Kuroo's POV

Practice was rather uneventful, I mean we were preforming as well as we usually were. Suga had to leave early though since apparently he had some appointment, I can't really remember what he said. Regardless I walked back to my house slowly, dreading my own arrival. It's weird to go back to a place you're suppose to call home yet feel surrounded by strangers. However, something caught my eye on the walk home, something rather large. Since practice had run a bit late today it was currently 6 pm. Meaning the chances of him being there were high.

I don't exactly know why I was so excited to watch a boy I barely knew skate around in a lonely rink, yet here I was walking towards the hallway which led to the second arena. Ever since lunch, when he gave in to my endless whining and be my friend, I was feeling rather happy. I mean wouldn't anyone who just made a new friend be happy, even though I'm not sure he's one hundred percent into the idea. I'll convince him though, he probably just shy.

I peeked through the glass doors and walked in quietly to make sure Kenma didn't see me. If he did I'm sure he'd ask me to leave. I hide in the top row where I'm sure he wouldn't look and even if he did I could use the seats in front of me as cover. However, he seemed rather distracted by what he was doing. I sat on the cold metal stands just watching Kenma glides rather quickly from one side of the ice to the other, occasionally flying off the ice for a jump. Watching him so engaged in something, other than his console from lunch today, made me forget about my dreaded walk home.

The sound of his skates scrapping the ice was sort of relaxing. I rested my arms on the seat in front of me, laying my chin on top of my hands and watched his performance. Kenma's skating was pretty, too pretty to be kept to himself so I'm not sure why he doesn't share it. Although he doesn't seem like the type of person to enjoy being the center of attention, maybe that's why.

Kenma took a break, the first break he'd taken since I got here, for a sip of water and checked his phone. Even from so far away I could just make out a scoff from Kenma as he read his phone. Although I kept my mind from wondering too much. He quickly put his phone down and went right back to the ice.

As I was enjoying the scenery, watching Kenma glide around on the ice, I began to notice something was off. The way he was moving changed, it was faster and less elegant. He was kicking up ice more often, hitting hard turns, his spins were faster, and his landings were sloppy. I didn't know much about skating but compared to his previous performances this was very different he almost seemed... mad, or rather furious. Soon enough the anger caught up to him as he pushed off the ice and began to spin into his jump, however, on the way down his skates seemed to get caught on each other and he landed flat on his back. The sound was terrifying.

Despite my previous attempts to be sneaky, I rushed down the arena stairs and over to the entrance of the ice. I ran over to Kenma, the best I could on ice with sneakers on, and kneeled next to the boy laying on his back. He didn't seem to be hurt though, although he just lay there, unmoving.

"I told you not to watch me." He spoke up without taking his gaze off of the ceiling he was stuck staring at.

"Are you ok?" I asked holding my hand out to help him up, but he made no move to grab it.

"Why'd you come?" He ignored my question and while I debated asking it again I figure it was pointless, either way he wouldn't answer. I put my hand down and sat on the ice next to him, if you can't beat them join them.

"Your skating is pretty, why don't you let people watch you?"

"I don't skate for other people." Even though Kenma's answer was short and his voice was rather cold I felt like he had changed from the first time we spoke. I expected him to ask me why I cared or just ignore me, but he answered which was new.
